Order 6 BT Boss is the first Death Stranding 2 boss encounter. You learned how to defeat BTs in Order 5, but now you will face a stronger one. Let’s see what you must do to defeat it!
How to Prepare for the Order 6 BT Boss Battle
After completing Order 5, Sam will enter the Private Room. An alarm denies him his much needed rest as an enormous BT appears outside and you have to get rid of it. Being the first boss, this BT won’t be too challenging if you have the proper gear.
Healing is important, so make sure to have several Blood Bags. Have some Blood Grenades to inflict massive damage to the BT enemy. The recommended weapon for this fight is the Assault Rifle with MP bullets as ammo. Items such as ladders and PPCs don’t have any combat use. They will restrict your movement, so leave them behind. Only carry the essentials.
Battle Strategy
Notice the tar covering the battle arena. The important thing during this fight is to not step in tar, as it will prevent you from moving. Speed is essential for dodging the BT’s attack. The tar will trap Sam and you might not be able to avoid damage. Stand on the floating debris and you should be safe. If you run out of Stamina, take a sip of water from the Canteen.
The BT uses two attacks:
- Tendril Slam. When you see it slamming its tendrils, move to the sides.
- Tar Attack. The boss consumes tar, disappears, and shoots the tar at Sam when reappearing. When it starts drawing in tar, move away and keep your footing by pressing L2 and R2. Move away from the incoming tar when the boss targets you.
The MP bullets and Blood Grenades do enough damage to take down the boss. Aim your Assault Rifle at the glowing part as those are its weak spots. Blood Grenades leave a ground AOE that keeps damaging the boss.
Throughout the fight, shadows will spawn offering you weapons and ammo. Keep an eye out for the green text marking these items, as they are of great help should you run out of ammo. Make a priority out of staying alive, rather than doing damage. Avoid the attacks and use the time between them as a window of opportunity for damage. The reward for defeating the giant BT includes 520 base Likes and many Chiral Crystals for Sam to pick up.
