Death Stranding 2 - How to Get a Vehicle

Death Stranding 2 offers several ways for you to be able to travel through the areas. Sure, you can do it by foot, but you want to be able to secure some vehicles because it makes it easier! A few hours into the game you’ll finally be able to unlock vehicles as it’s not available right away.

In episode one you’ll help protect the research facility in Mexico and once the threat is over, someone at the facility named Alex Weatherstone will be the one to give you the ability to fabricate a tri-cruiser. This officially unlocks the ability!

Go to the Fabrication Menu at any facility with a garage. Open up the garage and go to the empty slot. Provided you have the schematic, you’ll be able to create a vehicle. Just make sure you have all the matierals to fabricate it.

The other way to get a vehicle is to steal it but if you steal it, understand it can’t be repaired or stored in a garage. Only do this if you are in desperate need of a vehicle. Sometimes, you have to do what you have to do!

How to Use Vehicles

To be able to use the vehicle, make sure you are at a facility with a garage. Highlight the vehicle from the menu and then select take from garage option. This will transport the vehicle to the entrance. Walk over and interact with it! There are some basic controls for vehicles. R2 will be used to accelerate while L2 will be used to brake or decelerate.

And just like that you’ve unlocked the ability to use vehicles in Death Stranding 2. The more you play the bigger the chance you’ll have at getting access to some great rides!
