Doom The Dark Ages All 26 Codex Entries

Doom the Dark Ages Codex Entries are collectibles that reveal bits of the game’s lore. There are 26 items and discovering them all unlocks the Lore Nerd trophy. Let’s see where you can find them!

Doom the Dark Ages Codex Entries Locations Chapters 1-7

We can find a total of 9 different codex entries throughout Chapter 1 – 7. Some of these missions even have multiple codex collectibles to find. Such as Chapters 1, 5 and 6

Chapter 1 – Doom Slayer

Check behind the northern Demonic Portal to find a path. Go up the cliff and find the codex near the edge.

Chapter 1 – Village of Khalim

Kill the enemies on the Beach and climb the wall on the right. The codex is near some Sentinel soldiers.

Chapter 2 – Hebeth

Pull the lever to open the door and drop down. Go through the green-lit door, make a left, and jump over the boxes to reach the secret area.

Chapter 4 – Sentinel Barracks

Follow the left path before the second Sentinel Shrine.

Chapter 5 – Deag Loric

From the Hell Carrier with the Cycler weapon, go under the metal railing where you dropped down and follow the path.

Chapter 5 – The Holy City of Aratum

Go inside the building and make a right after you find the Super Shotgun. Go outside, destroy the chain, and use the shield on the block. Climb it and follow the path to go back inside the building to find the codex at the end of the corridor.

Chapter 6 – Siege Part 1

Reach the area where the Atlan and Titan are fighting. The codex is on one of the debris piles.

Chapter 6 – Kreed Maykr

From the northern Sentinel Shrine, go to the edge of the map and climb the wall.

Chapter 7 – Siege Part 2

After acquiring the Secret Key, unlock the gate and defeat the enemies.

Chapters 8-14 Codex Entries Locations In Doom The Dark Ages

There is a total of 8 codex entries to be found throughout chapters 8-14. Here chapters 9, 10 and 14 all feature multiple codex entry locations

Chapter 8 – Abyssal Forest

Reach the area unlocked with the Yellow Key and notice the tree roots on the right. Use the shield on the roots to discover a secret area.

Chapter 9 – Ancestral Forge

Drop down from the ledge in the northwestern side of the starting area.

Chapter 9 – King Novik

Reach the area with the blue lights on the walls. Break the chain and activate the platform by throwing the shield at the blue gear. Reach the top and jump to ledge on the left. Perform a recall jump to the right green statue and then another one. Jump across to find the collectible.

Chapter 10 – Prince Ahzrak

Acquire the Secret Key and unlock the gate close to the fallen Atlan. Defeat the demons and get the codex.

Chapter 10 – The Forsaken Plains

Reach the Sentinel Shrine on the right and make your way into the right corridor. Go outside and make a right.

Chapter 12 – Sentinel Command Station

After exiting the vents, follow the right wall.

Chapter 14 – Spire of Nerathul

Reach the part where you have to drain the water. Search the ledge near where the water was flowing.

Chapter 14 – Serrat

Reach the part where you have to activate the elevator during the Release the Old One task. Follow the path to the right from the elevator entrance.

Doom the Dark Ages Codex Entries Chapters 15-22

During chapters 15-22 we can find another, further, 9 codex entries. With chapters 19 and 20 having multiple different codex to find.

Chapter 15 – City of Ry’uul

Use the first boost pad and go left. Drop down from the ledge near the broken pillar and follow the path.

Chapter 16 – The Witch

Go to the bottom right section of the map and notice the land stripe. Go towards it and find the blue gear. Activate it with the shield to raise the gate blocking the path to the codex.
