Dune Awakening Lasgun is a great weapon for base raiding. The two available lasguns are the Arhun K-28 Lasgun and the Black Market K-28 Lasgun. Let’s see how you can get them both!
How to Get the Arhun K-28 Dune Awakening Lasgun
This weapon is a reward for completing the Cutting Edge quest series. To start the four-quest chain, go to the Crossroads Tradepost east of Mysa Tarill and take the first mission from the Contract Board.
How to Complete Cutting Edge
Equipment Needed
The first task requires you to acquire a Cutteray Mk6. You have the option to craft the item or buy it from the Exchange. Being the highest tier, neither option is cheap.
To craft the Cutteray Mk6, you need:
- Plastanium Ingots x 50.
- Spice Melange x 20.
- EMF Generator x 30.
- Thermoelectric Cooler x 9.
- Cobalt Paste x 30.
- Thermo-Responsive Ray Amplifier x 6.
As soon as you return with the item to the Contract Board, the next mission starts.
Boosting Power
The second task requires you to retrieve an item from the Wreck of the Tartarus. Before heading to the quest location, get a Radiation Suit and Iodine Pills. The objective is in Sheol, a highly radioactive area. Enter the shipwreck and look for the Amplifier on the left. Grab it and return to the Crossroads Tradepost for the next quest.
Finding Focus
The third task is similar to the second. You need to travel to the Wreck of the Delphis and find a Modulator. The quest location is in the middle of Sheol. From the main shipwreck entrance, make a right into the corridor. Go left from the locked door and enter the second area. Look for the Modulator on the left behind the generator. Return to the Crossroads Tradepost for the last mission.
Proper Thanks
Go northwest of Mysa Tarill and take down the enemies that appear after you interact with the scroll. The quest chain is now complete and you have a brand new Arhun K-28 lasgun.
How to Get the Black Market K-28 Lasgun
The Black Market variant is a unique weapon. It has better stats than the Arhun, however, obtaining it is rather complicated. You need to get the schematic first and then craft it. The schematic drops from Testing Stations in the PvP side of the Deep Desert. Considering that the Deep Desert resets once per week, you’ll have to wait until the Black Market K-28 Lasgun appears in the weekly rotation. The schematic can also be found on the Exchange.
To craft the Black Market K-28 Lasgun, you need:
- Plastanium Ingots x 90.
- Spice Melange x 93.
- Thermo-Responsive Ray Amplifier x 8.
- Cobalt Paste x 58.
- Mechanical Parts x 37.
- Plasteel Composite Gun Parts x 28.
- Spice-Infused Plastanium Dust x 21.
- Water x 530.
