Echoes of Aincrad Weapons are your character’s most important equipment. There is no magic in this world, so you’ll need to master weapons to defeat your enemies.
Let’s see what you need to know about weapons!
How Echoes of Aincrad Weapons Work
Weapons determine a character’s play style, stat priority, and available skills. The game’s prologue allows you to test all six weapons, but you’ll eventually have to decide on a weapon and stick with it. Stats influence weapon damage, so you need to know which stats to prioritize based on your chosen weapon. Ability Correction Values determine an attribute’s influence on the blade’s damage output. Each type of weapon has a unique combo (a chain of light and heavy attacks) that deals massive damage.
Types of Weapons
Echoes of Aincrad has six types of blades:
- Swords.
- Two-Handed Swords.
- Rapiers.
- Daggers.
- Maces.
- Two-Handed Axes.
Swords

Swords are balanced weapons that provide decent damage and defense. Normal sword attacks work well against multiple enemies and heavy attacks deal good single-target damage.
| Best Stat | Damage | Shield Compatibility | Difficulty | Play Style |
| DEX | Medium | Yes | Easy | Balanced play style. Recommended for casual players. |
Two-Handed Swords

These weapons deliver high damage at a slow pace. As long as you manage to chain your attacks, a two-handed sword will not let you down when fighting bosses or dealing with several enemies at the same time.
| Best Stat | Damage | Shield Compatibility | Difficulty | Play Style |
| STR | High | No | Hard. | Tactical. |
Rapiers

Rapiers excel at single-target damage, but they’re not that effective against multiple enemies. They deal less damage than swords, but they make up for it with speed.
| Best Stat | Damage | Shield Compatibility | Difficulty | Play Style |
| AGI | Medium | Yes | Medium | Fast-paced combat. |
Daggers

Daggers deal low damage. However, they are capable of delivering very fast attacks. Dagger skills provide great maneuverability and even ranged attacks. These Echoes of Aincrad Weapons deal good single-target damage and decent multi-target damage.
| Best Stat | Damage | Shield Compatibility | Difficulty | Play Style |
| AGI | Low | No | Medium | Mobility and ranged attacks. |
Maces

Maces are powerful weapons that deal good single-target and multi-target damage. Their attack speed is not that impressive, but they can stun big enemies, which makes them great weapons against bosses.
| Best Stat | Damage | Shield Compatibility | Difficulty | Play Style |
| STR | Medium to High | Yes | Medium to High. | Control. |
Two-Handed Axes

Two-handed axes are the most difficult Echoes of Aincrad Weapons to master. They have good AOE damage, but their slow attack speed may leave you vulnerable. Make sure to invest points in Vitality and Endurance when using two-handed axes.
| Best Stat | Damage | Shield Compatibility | Difficulty | Play Style |
| STR | High | No | High | Tactical. |
