How to Find the Southern Shore Map Piece in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
Start your search for the Southern Shore map piece at the Castle Front waypoint. Turn away from the stairs and follow the path a short way. Make a sharp left turn, still following the path, and head east. After a short distance, turn right (south) and head downhill towards the wooden wall and flags.
Continue following the path. When you reach the ruins, where the pillars are sticking out of the ground, turn left and head towards the underpass. You’ll come across a green swampy area. Keep left and cut through the swamp, heading northwest. As the terrain shifts, head downhill. At the very bottom is a small cave entrance next to a giant flower.
Cut Through the Cave
Enter the cave and take the uphill path on the left. Follow the path through the water. You’ll come across a waterfall. Use the rocks sticking up like pillars to jump across on horseback. You’ll reach another waterfall and drop off, but don’t go down it. Use one of the paths on either side to go around.
Staying on horseback will help you outrun enemies in the area. There are more rocks that you can jump on to start your descent. Head towards the opening in the distance and keep right. There is an arching rock halfway down that acts as a bridge to get to the other side of the waterfall. When you reach the ground, turn right and follow the river.
Southern Shore Map Piece Location
In the river is a giant enemy that has a head like a flaming torch. Avoid it and keep right, heading up the hill next to it. In the distance, there is an opening in the cliff. The moment you pass through that area, you’re in the Cerulean Coast. Keep running straight through the field, heading downhill. At the bottom, you’re attacked by the Ghostflame Dragon. If you’re on horseback then you can outrun it.
On the other side is an uphill path. Right before the top of the hill, you’ll see a stone structure with glowing yellow text on your right. Approach it and pick up the Southern Shore Map piece.
