Gothic Remake Special Pieces is a side quest that requires you to find a special item for Santino. You will start the quest in Chapter 1, but won’t be able to complete it until Chapter 3.

How to Start and Complete the Gothic Remake Special Pieces Side Quest
The Special Pieces side quest begins in Chapter 1. Enter the Old Mine, cross the bridge, and you will immediately spot Santino.
Interact with him and explore all the dialogue options to trigger the quest. Santino wants you to bring him an unusual item. Don’t bother looking for special items. There’s only one thing Santino wants and you cannot get it until Chapter 3.
Where to Find a Special Item for Santino
Progress into Chapter 3 and start The Focus at the Mountain Fortress quest. Play through the quest until you solve the bookshelf puzzle and Lester says “Let’s split up and see what we can find.”
Lester will remain in the library, while you continue on your way to find the Focus Stone. Don’t leave the library just yet, as you will miss an important dialogue with Lester and fail at obtaining the Special Pieces quest item. Save your game and talk to Lester before leaving the library. He will give you some Telekinesis scrolls and tell you that he found something else. Choose the “What did you find?” dialogue option, followed by “Deal” to obtain a Title Deed. Notice that the Gothic Remake Special Pieces quest will update once you get the deed.
If Lester doesn’t give you the deed, make a separate save file, and continue the Focus Stone quest. After obtaining the Focus Stone, return to the library, and talk to Lester. He should now give you the deed. Don’t leave the Mountain Fortress until you get the deed from Lester. If you happen to leave by accident, reload the game using one of the two save files.
How to Find Santino and Complete the Gothic Remake Special Pieces Quest
In Chapter 3, Santino changes locations. He is no longer at the Old Mine. Head to the Old Camp and go to the market area. Enter the house to find Santino’s new location.
He can also be outside the house. Don’t try to haggle with him, as he won’t give more than 1000 ore nuggets for the deed. Santino also tells about a secret passage and gives you Santino’s Key item, which unlocks the castle’s cellar.
