Greedfall 2 A Dying World - How to Complete A Dying Forest Quest

One of the earlier optional tasks in GreedFall 2 is A Dying Forest Quest. Which you can unlock and acquire from Mev, after noticing that there have been some issues with the animal population in the area.

How to Complete a Dying Forest Quest in Greedfall 2

The first step is to find the hunter’s camp after speaking to Denid in the village. There will be a map marker, but you have to use tracking to be able to see the footsteps leading away from the camp since it’s empty. Following the footprints leads you to a trap-filled area.

Eventually, you will find the hunters. Two of them are caught in the traps.

Helping the Hunters

There are two options available to help the hunters. You can either try to help them out of the traps using your mechanics skill or by approaching the trappers nearby for help. However, they require 50 gold, which should be easily obtainable, so that choice is up to you. Either way proceed and head back to the village

Once the hunters are out of the trap, you need to heal them. They need 2 minor lizard ointments and 2 minor healing potions to heal them. If you had attempted to get them out of the traps yourself and it failed, then you’ll need splints too. You can always reload a previous save and choose the 50 gold, alternative option, if necessary..

While you can craft these items, it’s easier to head back to the village where there is a vendor. All of these items are available for purchase. Head back to the hunters after you have all the items. If you talk to Congubar, you can heal the hunters.

The Trapper’s Fate

The final step is to deal with the trappers. Now, if you have already killed the trappers before, you won’t have to do this. Provided you didn’t kill them, you have several options.

Offer a trade
Pay 2k gold
Diplomacy Check
Kill them if you didn’t kill them before.

The quest will be finished after the traders are no longer an issue for the village. Deal with them however you want
