Grounded 2 Cold Resist

Grounded 2 Cold Resist – How To Survive In Low-Temperature Biomes

Grounded 2

Grounded 2 Cold Resist is a game mechanic that allows you to stay safe and warm when exploring frozen areas. Adventuring in certain areas, such as the Ice Cream Cart, will apply a cold status with negative effects.

Let’s see what you must do to stay alive!

Grounded 2 Cold Resist Gear and Consumables

Cold builds up the longer you stay in a frozen biome without proper gear and consumables. Your movement speed reduces until you are no longer able to walk. The cold also affects your HP. Luckily, there are ways to ensure that doesn’t happen:

  • Gear.
  • Mutations.
  • Consumables.

Make sure to combine all these methods to increase your cold resistance.

The best way to protect yourself against the cold is to equip armor that has the Chill Reduction perk. Early items don’t offer that much Chill Reduction, but wearing them is still better than nothing. As you advance, better items will become available. Aim to wear cold resistance pieces in all armor slots. Here are a couple of armors that offer Chill Reduction:

  • Body armor: Fuzzy Parka.
  • Head armor: Mitey Muffs, Fuzzy Hat.
  • Leg armor: Fuzzy Mukluks.

Chill Reduction Mutations

Spice Safey

Grounded 2 mutations improve your character’s fighting, combat, exploration, and survival abilities. We have one specific mutation, Spice Safety, that offers Chill Resistance. It also gives Freeze Resistance and causes you to take less Shatter Damage. To unlock this mutation, you need to consume 1/5/10 Spicy Shards. You can obtain Spicy Shards by breaking Spicy Candies located on the Picnic Table.

Chill Reduction Consumables and Items

Grounded 2 Cold Resist Food

Foods with the Chill Resistance and Warm Effect are another way to improve cold resistance. Keep an eye on the freezing meter and consume these items before you suffer the cold’s negative effects. Make sure to pick these items as you explore, as you will find plenty of them. Another way to obtain them is to craft them. Items such as Torches and Flamers can keep you warm too, so don’t forget to use them.
