These balanced weapons mostly deal Slash and Stab damage. Swords rely on the Strength and Agility main stats. Master Strikes only work when using a sword. The recommendation is to use swords when fighting against lightly armored foes, such as common bandits or animals.

Heavy Weapons

The Heavy category has the following weapons:

  • Maces.
  • Warhammers.
  • Axes.
  • Clubs.
Heavy Weapons

Heavy weapons deal Slash and Blunt damage. They rely on Strength and Agility. While you cannot perform Master Strikes with heavy weapons, they are excellent tools for breaking the enemy’s defense. The recommendation is to use heavy weapons when fighting against knights clad in heavy armor. Also, you should wear a shield for blocking, as heavy weapons suffer more durability damage when parrying and blocking.

The Polearms category has the following weapons:

  • Halberds.
  • Staves.
  • Spears.
Polearms

Polearms deal all types of damage and have a longer range than swords and heavy weapons. They are the most versatile weapons. However, there are two disadvantages when wielding polearms. They are slow weapons, meaning you might have trouble when facing multiple enemies. Polearms work best against single targets. Also, you need to invest several points into their skill category to use them effectively.
