How to Unlock the LEGO Horizon Adventures Animal Catering Job
Once you have collected seven Gold Bricks, go to the Community Board in the village and interact with it. You will see the Animal Catering job posted by Kurnst:
“It’s my turn to feed the village chickens, but I’m busy working on my designs for next week’s Comically-Shaped Lanterns competition. Can someone cover for me? Don’t forget to build a Chicken Coop for the feed!” Animals Fed 0/10.
LEGO Horizon Adventures Animal Catering Walkthrough
The description is somewhat misleading as it states you need to feed the chickens. However, the requirement says animals. This Community Job has two approaches. Both of them require two plots, so first, make sure you have them available.
Feed the Chickens
Follow the clue in the description and build a Chicken Coop. Then build a Market Stall on a nearby plot. The stall will produce carrots. Grab the carrots and take them near the chickens. The chicken will notice the carrot and start eating. Repeat this process 10 times.
Feed the Dog
The second solution is to feed the dog. Disregard what the description is saying and build an Animal Shelter instead of a Chicken Coop. Now, this might be a bit weird, but the dog is perfectly fine eating carrots or bananas. Throw the food at the dog 10 times and you will complete the job.
Which Method Should You Choose?
You might wonder which is the best way to solve this job: feeding the chickens or feeding the dog? There are two main differences. The first one is that the Chicken Coop is unlocked early in the game. To access the Animal Shelter, you must progress a bit more. The second difference is that the chickens eat slower while the dog immediately gulps on its food.
If you want to complete the task as soon as it becomes available, go for the Chicken Coop strategy. If you don’t mind waiting a bit longer to finish this Community Job, advance until you unlock the Animal Shelter at the end of Chapter 4 and feed the dog. Ultimately, it is up to you which animal you prefer to feed.
The reward is the same no matter what method you choose. The Animal Catering job gives you three Gold Bricks.
