Goro’s Heart is a Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii substory. Here we meet up with Russell who can talk to animals. We then have a conversation with our cat companion. Let’s see what you must do to get to know Goro and unlock Russell as a new crew member!
How to Start Goro’s Heart
To unlock this substory, you must complete The Symbol of the City, the Street Surfer substory first. Go to Harbor Park in Honolulu and watch the cutscene in which Noah wishes he could talk to Goro. A man approaches and the substory begins.
The man introduces himself as Russell and claims he can talk to animals. After a little demonstration, Majima agrees to try the device that supposedly allows him to understand what Goro is saying.
How to Complete Goro’s Heart
Put on the device and interact with Goro. Watch the cutscene and realize that you were wrong about Goro’s gender. Goro will then ask you some questions.
Talk to Goro
She wants to know how Majima feels about being in Hawaii.
You can pick any answer you like. Goro will then want to have a drink.
Once again, your choice doesn’t impact the outcome. However, Goro will be happy if you treat her to an exquisite cat drink, so choose the most expensive option. If you don’t have the money, you can borrow it. The conversation goes on, but Goro notices that the translation device’s battery is low.
Spend $100 to replace the battery. You can safely borrow the money, as you will get it back later. Goro wants to know about Majima’s love life.
Once again the choices do not matter. However, if you have played Yakuza Zer0, you may have a preference this time around.
Choose an answer and prepare yourself for an unexpected confession from Goro. The battery runs out again and this time it costs $10000 to replace it. Agree to pay and witness the cutscene.
Find Out the Truth
The final cutscene of the substory reveals that it was all a sham. Goro didn’t really talk to Majima. It was just Russell messing with you, as he was trying to get money to fund his research.
Majima lets Russell get away with it. He hopes that the translation device will one day work, so he can have a real conversation with Goro. Russell joins the crew and he gives all your money back. He also offers Majima a Double Silver Ring as an apology.
