How to Start I Want To Be Your Nadeshiko Substory

You can begin this substory any time after completing The Symbol of the City, the Street Surfer substory. Head to the East Aloha Beach in Honolulu and look for a tourist standing near a palm tree. Three guys are bothering her.

As you are getting ready to intervene, a woman cuts in and starts fighting the bad guys. Majima decides to help her and the substory begins.

How to Complete I Want To Be Your Nadeshiko

The three bad guys are no match for you and Claire. Get rid of them and the tourist will offer her thanks. After the tourist leaves, you have the chance to get to know Claire, a very strong and determined woman. Claire remembers that she has somewhere to go and the conversation ends abruptly. Majima decides to follow Claire and find out more.

Follow Claire to the Shinobi Sushi Restaurant

Make your way to the Shinobi Sushi restaurant. Majima looks around trying to spot Claire, when a woman wearing a kimono catches his attention. It turns out that the woman is none other than Claire.

Majima enters the restaurant and sees Claire talking to a man named Damian who is very interested in Japanese culture and believes Claires shares his passion. At some point during their conversation, Damian wants to know which is the tallest mountain in Japan.

The right answer is Mount Fuji. You can give the correct answer right away, but you can also choose other dialogue options if you want to see an amusing alternative. After Damian leaves in a hurry, you have the chance to find out why Claire is pretending to be into Japanese culture. She likes Damian and wants to impress him.

Meet Claire at the Anaconda Harbor Park

Once the restaurant scene is over, go southwest of the Anaconda Harbor Park to find Claire practicing the koto, a traditional Japanese instrument.

Claire explains why she likes Damian so much. In the next cutscene, a bunch of guys from Claire’s past pick on Damian.

With Majima’s help, Claire defeats the pirates. She reveals to Damian the truth about her. The final cutscene plays and the substory ends. Claire becomes a crew member and you also receive a Hawaiian Silver Ring as a reward.
