High Quality Materials is a side quest in (MHWI) Monster Hunter Wilds that is given to you by Gemma. She is a smithy, who is also the one responsible for both upgrading your weapons and armor. Gemma can be found at the base camps so it’s not that difficult to find her. Just look for the smithy with the bright blonde hair!

Starting the High-Quality Materials Quest In Monster Hunter Wilds
To unlock High-Quality Materials you need to talk to Gemma at the Forest Base Camp. She assigns you a task of obtaining a Chatacabra Hide+ from a Chatacabra. Which is a large amphibian monster. Think of a frog, mix it with steroids, and then throw some radiation on it.
Its most obvious feature is its very long tongue that you want to avoid at all costs. The creature’s weaknesses are to thunder and ice so keep that in mind before you decide to go after one for Gemma and continue the quest.
How to Slay The Chatacabra
A Chatacabra can be found in the Windward Plains. Go there and hunt it so you can get a Hide+ for Gemma. Once you defeat this large amphibian (and manage to avoid its large tongue) grab the Hide+. Then you can go back to the Forest Base Camp to deliver it to Gemma who will happily reward you for your efforts.
Gemma will give you five advanced Armor Spheres which is a material that can be used for crafting and upgrading the hunter’s equipment. Do keep in mind that only the High Rank version of this particular monster is capable of dropping the Chatacabra Hide+
