A Hounding Conversation is a Marvel Rivals achievement in the Chronoverse Saga category. It involves speaking with Bats the ghost dog. Let’s see what you need to do to find the Easter Egg and unlock the trophy!
How to Obtain A Hounding Conversation Achievement
The achievement description says you need to talk to Bats when Eternal Night Falls on New York. For completing this trophy, you get five points.
You know what you must do, but, if you are unfamiliar with the Marvel lore, you have no idea who Bats is. Also, the description doesn’t reveal on which map you can find Bats. However, the description hints at Sanctum Sanctorum, the map added in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls.
Who is Bats?
Bats is Doctor Strange’s faithful dog. Thanks to a translation spell, Doctor Strange can interpret his companion’s barking. When Strange clashed with Loki, Bats was caught in the middle and, as a result of his weak heart, he unfortunately died.
The death of a beloved pet is something not even Loki can take lightly, so he looked for a remedy. Bats came back in the form of a ghost dog. He hangs around his master’s lair and, despite being loyal to Doctor Strange, Spider-Man is his favorite superhero.
How to Find Bats in Sanctum Sanctorum and Unlock A Hounding Conversation Achievement
First, you need to be on the Sanctum Sanctorum map.
You can get the map in two ways:
- Join a Doom Match game.
- Create a Custom Game with friends and select the Sanctum Sanctorum map.
There is another important thing you need to know. You won’t be able to converse with Bats unless you are playing a certain hero.

So, make sure to select one of the above heroes. Once the game has started, go into the main entrance of the building. You will find Bats on the left side of the stairs. He usually sleeps on his doggy bed next to his favorite toys, but sometimes, he will just be floating around. However, he is always in that area.
If you have completed other Chronoverse Saga achievements, such as Mind Palace, you might be confused about how to unlock this trophy. There is no interaction button that starts the conversation with Bats. Just approach him and the conversation will automatically play. You can turn on the subtitles to see when he starts talking. After the conversation ends, carry on with the game as usual, and finish the match. Don’t leave until the game ends, or else you might not unlock the achievement.
