As Gatekeeper is yet another optional side quest in (MHWI) Monster Hunter Wilds. Rex is the one who gives you this quest. He is an NPC who works as an armored escort for the expedition just like Cobb does in the Suja Peaks. He requires your help for this specific quest which will get you a nice reward!
How to Start the As Gatekeeper Quest In Monster Hunter Wilds
Go and talk to Rex at Suja, Peaks of Accord to start this quest. He is asking you to go hunt two Ajarakan in Wounded Hollow that are causing some trouble around the area.
An Ajarakan is a fanged beast that is on the large side. Fire is it’s chosen element. Since this is the case, if you want a good chance of weakening it then consider using water or ice against it since these are it’s biggest weakness. Also, don’t stare at it to long because it will haunt your dreams.
How To Complete This Quest in MHW
After hunting the two Ajarakan you can go ahead and head back to Rex. Talk to him and he will give you your reward which includes a Powercharm, 3 Hard Armor Spheres, 5 Mega Armorskin, and 3 Monster Chili.
A Powercharm is a healing support item that helps strengthen the power of your attacks with the mega armor skin also being a healing support item, but this one boosts your defense for a short period of time.
Hard Armor Sphere is used to craft and upgrade a hunter’s equipment while Monster Chili is sold for a high price. Not a bad reward if you manage to finish this quest!
