Capturing an Ember Rufflizard is part of Dareel’s Research Report quests, featured in Monster Hunter Wilds (MHWI). It tasks us with heading to the Oilwell Basin. I was able to collect this specific quest after having both reached Hunter Rank 10 and completed Dareel’s other quest, which required us hunting for a Tracktail Lizard
Where To Find The Ember Rufflizard In Monster Hunter Wilds (MHWI)
After accepting the Dareel’s Research Report (Cont) quest, to search for an Ember Rufflizard from Dareel. Who can be found over in the Windward Plains Base Camp. We can then travel over to the Oilwell Basin in order to find and locate our prey.
The Ember Rufflizard can naturally be found throughout the Oilwell Basin but one location, where I was actually lucky enough to find one was in Area 4. By The Ancient Forge.
Remember to get your capture net ready. Then begin to search the grounds for our lizards. They are green in colour. They are also, often, found in pairs. Once you spot them you will then want to catch them using the Capture Net
Reporting The Quest To Dareel
Once you have successfully managed to find your Ember Rufflizard we can then report back to Dareel, who is in his usual sport over in the Windward Plains, Base Camp.
Dareel will continue to throw insults over to his comrade Samin. Otherwise be overall happy with our progress. This will then conclude the Dareel’s Research Report (Cont) quest and our search for the elusive Ember Rufflizard.
We will be rewarded with x5 Honey, x10 Might Seed, 100 Guild Points, Next up is the Gillopod
Useful Tips Regarding The Ember Rufflizard
The Ember Rufflizard can only be located in the Oilwell Basin. Meaning you cannot find or locate it anywhere else. They are said to prefer hot environments.
You can usually find them in pairs and can be found just casually walking around the grounds of the Oilwell Basin. They are known to bob their heads when communicating and have distinctive creases on their heads.
Ember Rufflizards are rarely spotted on the upper levels of the Basin. They also prefer the Firespring season and can be found more easily during this time period. They also enjoy lurking within rocks
