In today’s guide, we’re covering Monster Hunter Wilds (MHWI) Razzle Dazzle Side Quest. This quest is a part of Kanya’s series of side quests and unlocks after Chapter 4 – 2 Lurking Shadows and The Catch of a Lifetime. You can pick it up by speaking to Kanya in the Scarlet Forest Base Camp. The goal of this side quest is to catch a Grand Escunite. Read on to learn where the fish is located and how to catch it.
Where is the Grand Escunite In Razzle Dazzle Quest
The Grand Escunite, a rare variety of the Escunite fish, is located in both Area 17 and in an Underwater Cave in Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest. The Underwater Cave is located on the east side of the map, to the right of the lake while the Area 17 lake is to the north. Make sure to go when conditions are set to Plenty and Evening or Nighttime since this is when the Grand Escunite is most likely to show itself.
How to Catch the Grand Escunite In Monster Hunter Wilds MHWI
When you arrive at the Underwater Cave, look for a creature that looks like a hermit crab in the water with a blue shell. This is a Grand Escunite and they’re bigger than regular Escunites. Use the Tentacle Jig that Kanya gave you as bait to catch your prey. When you cast the line, use the left stick or S on PC to move the lure and catch the Grand Escunite’s attention.
Once it takes the bait, follow the same rules of fishing that you’ve learned so far. Move the line in the direction the Grand Escunite is swimming to tire it out and prevent tension. After you’ve caught the fish, head back to Kanya for your rewards.
