In today’s guide, we’re covering (MHWI) Monster Hunter Wilds Smithy’s Seal of Quality. This is a side quest located in the Forest Base Camp, given to you by Gemma. It unlocks after completing Chapter 4 – 1 New Ecosystems and the High-Quality Materials side quest. In this quest, your objective is to help Gemma test her trap prototype. This prototype will help you fight monsters later on. Continue on to learn how to complete the Smithy’s Seal of Quality side quest.
Accept the Smithy’s Seal of Quality Quest In Monster Hunter Wilds (MHWI)
Once you finish the High-Quality Materials side quest, you’ll automatically get the Smithy’s Seal of Quality quest. However, you’ll need to speak to Alma at the Quest Counter and select the quest by the same name to begin.
Go to the Scarlet Forest
After you’ve accepted the quest, head to the Scarlet Forest. Here, you’re to track the monster Lala Barina to Area 12, where you’ll run into Gemma. There’s an optional objective here to test her prototype snare trap. This trap will temporarily immobilize large monsters. The trap looks like a spider web and you can use Lure Pods to lure the Lala Barina into the trap. This will check off the optional objective.
How to Defeat the Lala Barina In Monster Hunter Wilds
The Lala Barina can prove to be a difficult foe. During the battle, aim for its weak point (the tail) and keep in mind that this monster is weak to fire. You can also aim for its head and petals. Use weapons that do blunt or severing damage against its weak points to stun the Lala Barina, which gives you time to do additional damage without having to dodge attacks.
