You can begin The Rarest of Eggs side story after completing the Master of All Chapter 6 main quest. Travel to Cragspear and find the Wealthy Gourmand in a house on the eastern side of the town.
Enter the house and interact with the NPC to trigger the quest. The food lover is looking for someone who can make a special dish using some rare eggs.
Where To Find A Skilled Chef for the Octopath Good Luck Omelette Recipe
To complete the Octopath Traveler 0 The Rarest of Eggs side quest, you need to find two accomplished chefs:
- The Artistic Chef.
- The Fastidious Cook.
How to Hire the Artistic Chef
From the gourmand’s house, make your way to the Cragspear tavern. The Artistic Chef is inside. Talk to him and use the Hire action to make him a helper. Go back to the gourmand’s house. The Artistic Chef will cook a beautiful dish, but that’s not enough to satisfy the gourmand’s appetite.
How to Hire the Fastidious Cook
Go to the Cragspear Inn’s second floor to find the Fastidious Cook. Use the Hire action and return to the Wealthy Gourmand’s house. The Fastidious Cook will make a most savory meal, but the gourmand is still not satisfied.
How to Unlock the Good Luck Omelette Recipe
Exit the house and reenter. The Artistic Chef and the Fastidious Cook will collaborate to create a meal that meets the gourmand’s exacting standards. He will offer his thanks along with the Good Luck Omelette recipe, one Catsip, and a Wealth boost. The Good Luck Omelette grants a buff that increases the item drop rate by 20% for 20 turns. Make sure to consume it when you’re farming for resources!
