How to Start the Fetching Soulstones Side Quest in Octopath Traveler 0

You can start the Fetching Soulstones side story after you begin the Master of All Chapter 6 main quest. Go to Flamesgrace Wilds and interact with the Knight Ardante. The NPC is close to the Flamesgrace entrance.

The Knight Ardante asks you for three Fire Soulstones. If you have them, you can complete the quest right away and obtain the Ward of the Knight Ardante, one Cat’s Eye, and a Fame boost as a reward. If you don’t have the required items, here’s what you must do to collect them.

How to Get Fire Soulstones in Octopath Traveler 0

There are three ways to get these items:

• Use path actions.
• Steal them from foes.
• Obtain from Wishvale residents with the Arsenal Supply skill.

Steal Fire Soulstones From Enemies

You can steal these items from fire enemies or hope for a drop at the end of the battle. Don’t forget that you can consume Lucky Fried Eggs, Good-Luck Omelettes, or Prosperous Scotch Eggs to increase the item drop rate by 10%, 20%, or 50% for 20 turns.

To steal the items during battle, you need a Thief character in your party. It can be your character or recruited travelers such as Celsus, Heidne, and Therion. Lower the enemy’s HP and then use the Steal skill to get the item. You can find enemies carrying Fire Soulstones in Finesand Ruins in the Sunlands.

Wishvale Residents with the Arsenal Supply Skill

Wishvale residents with the Arsenal Supply skill provide you with battle items. Unfortunately, this is a random process, so there’s no guarantee you will get the desired items. The NPCs with the Arsenal Supply skill are:

• Traveler Therion.
• Traveler Xerc.
• Garrulous Bodyguard NPC found in Valore.
• Volunteer Soldier NPC found in Cragspear.
• Secretive Graybeard NPC found in Victors Hollow.
• Resigned Woman NPC found in Berecain.
