In this Silent Hill 2 Remake All Weapons and Locations guide, we’re covering each weapon featured in the game and where to find them. There are a total of six (6) weapons, one of which is only featured in New Game+. These weapons are acquired as part of the story or you must search for them. As you progress, the weapons you find will also increase in strength.
Wooden Plank Weapon Location In Silent Hill 2 Remake
The Wooden Plank is the first weapon you’ll get in the Silent Hill 2 Remake. You get it during a cutscene as you’re being attacked near the apartment complex on Martin Street. While it isn’t a powerful weapon, it’s definitely better than nothing.
Steel Pipe Weapon Location
The second weapon you come across is a Steel Pipe. This one is also acquired during a cutscene after you have to use your plank to lock a gate on Katz Street. While not as good as a gun, it packs more of a hit than the Wooden Plank.
Handgun Location in Silent Hill 2 Remake
At this point, you have to search for better weapons. The Handgun is the third weapon you can get in the game. When you reach the section involving the Wood Side Apartments, find and locate Room 217. The Handgun is inside of a red shopping cart. There’s some ammo close by.
Shotgun
You can get the Shotgun weapon when you reach Brookhaven Hospital. Once you reach the hospital, go to the Women’s Locker Room on the second floor. You’ll find the Shotgun in there.
Hunting Rifle
The Hunting Rifle is the strongest weapon in the Silent Hill 2 Remake. This weapon required a few extra steps to acquire. When you reach the Toluca Prison, go to the Witness Room. The Armory Key is behind a wall compartment in this room. Once you have it, go to the Toluca Prison Armory and use the Armory Key to unlock the gun display case and pick up the Hunting Rifle.
Chainsaw
The Chainsaw is only available in New Game Plus but you can find it early on. The Chainsaw is sticking out of a pile of logs on the road to the Silent Hill Ranch.
