How to Begin and Complete the Titan Quest 2 Strange Jar Hidden Quest

Titan Quest 2 Strange Jar Start

Follow the main story campaign until you start the Reach the gryphon’s nest objective. Head west towards the objective and you will discover a trader named Maro. Take a few steps to the south and you will notice a wolf. Start running after the wolf and, as you follow it, you will hear a mysterious voice urging you to kill the wolves. Defeat the pack and interact with the corpse to retrieve the Strange Jar quest item.

How to Find the Shrine of Hermes and Complete the Talking Jar Secret Quest

As soon as you pick up the Strange Jar, the voice inside asks you to take it to the Shrine of Hermes. Note that no objective marker or active quest is popping up in your Quest Log. The Talking Jar directs you to a cave to the southwest.

From the starting location, make your way southwest. Follow the path and defeat the wolf packs as you go. Take a quick detour through the Wolf Den to gather some loot on your way to the Shrine of Hermes. When you reach the bridge, don’t cross it. Instead, follow the southwestern path. Defeat the pack of crab enemies and enter the Widow’s Cave.

The cave path is linear. Fight your way through to reach the Shrine of Hermes. Place the Talking Jar on the shrine and receive a yellow item as a reward. The quest is completed, but you should explore the entire cave, as there’s a chest at the end with blue loot.
