One of the most interesting achievements to unlock in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora is called ‘Vision of the Ancestors.’ It requires you to locate and interact with a number of Sarentu Totems which can be found throughout Pandora. Beyond being necessary for 100% game completion, this achievement will teach you a lot about the history of Pandora and your character, making it perfect for any lore-loving gamer!

Complete all Sarentu Totem Interactions
To unlock the Vision of the Ancestors achievement, you need to complete all Sarentu Totem Interactions. During your first totem interaction, you’ll learn that there are five totems to find. However, after finding the fifth totem, it’ll transpire that there are actually twelve to locate.
Sarentu Totems are giant wooden structures. You can find them on mountains and other high viewpoints. They look a bit like a dead tree from a distance.
When you complete Vision of the Ancestors, you’ll be rewarded with 36 points or a silver trophy. This is pretty standard for collectible-based trophy achievements in Frontiers.
Aside from this, interacting with all twelve totems is a great idea for two reasons. Firstly, completing all totem interactions will help you to complete the ‘Sarentu Totems’ sidequest. And beyond this, the visions you see when interacting give you an interesting insight into the complex lore of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. So if you love this game for the story, it’s a must-complete quest!
How to Complete Vision of The Ancestors
Completing Vision of the Ancestors is actually pretty easy. First, you need to go to the location of the totem. You can see them on your map. But they’re also pretty easy to see from a distance. From here, you should see a blue kite at the near the totem pointing in a certain direction. Following this will lead you to a viewing point.
Interacting with this viewing point by pressing X (Xbox)/Square (PS) will initiate a cutscene where you’re shown some visions of your Sarentu Ancestors. Once the cutscene is finished, that totem will be marked as complete.
When you first start interacting with the totems, you’ll be under the impression that there are only five. However, you will learn of the other seven after interacting with the initial five.
Completing Vision of the Darkness follows pretty much the same process as other collectible achievements such as Fleet-Footed. And once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to complete this achievement pretty quickly.
Sarentu Totem Locations
The twelve Sarentu Totems can be found across three regions of the map. These are:
- The Kinglor Forest.
- The Upper Plains.
- The Clouded Forest.
As you explore each area, the location of each totem will appear on your map as a waypoint. You can find the locations you need to travel to to reveal each waypoint below.
Kinglor Forest Locations
You will find the following totems required to complete Vision of the Ancestors in the Kinglor Forest:
- Totem One. Located in the southeast section of Waterway Valley.
- Totem Two. Located next to the Dyer’s Falls.
- Totem Three. Located in the Silk Woods, next to the Tangled Lake and Hunter’s Headland.
- Totem Four. Located in the northern section of the Gossamer Lakes. Because it’s surrounded by trees, this is one of the harder totems to find when completing Vision of the Ancestors.
Upper Plains Locations for Vision of the Ancestors
You will find the next totems required to complete Vision of the Ancestors in the Upper Plains:
- Totem Five. Located in The Celebration Valley, at the foot of the Great Tusk.
- Totem Six. Located in the Mother of Rivers, on the bank of the Mother’s Tears River.
- Totem Seven. Located on the lower end of the First Zakru rock, near one of the Tethered Kites.
- Totem Eight. Located just East of the Leaning Pillar Valley in the Mother of Rivers area.
- Totem Nine. Located in the Stone Hold, right next to Guardian’s Falls.
Clouded Forest Locations
You will find the final totems required to complete Vision of the Ancestors in the Clouded Forest:
- Totem Ten. Located next to the Warrior’s Plunge in the Cradling Pines area.
- Toten Eleven. Found along the Stealth River running through The Cut.
- Totem Twelve. You can find the final totem underneath the Grandmother’s Ridge in the Stone Cold Valley.
