In today’s guide, we’re covering Ys: The Oath in Felghana How to Defeat Ellefale. Ellefale, the Azure Queen of Death, is the second boss in the Tigray Quarry. The Azure Queen of Death is quite formidable and you’ll have to utilize your newly obtained Ignis Bracelet to defeat her. She has 400 HP and the recommended level to fight her is Level 8. Read on to learn how to defeat Ellefale.
Ellefale’s Attack Pattern
Ellefale doesn’t have a complex attack pattern and she’s easy to predict once you know what you’re looking for. There are four different attacks in total. Her most common attack is a magic disc. She’ll raise her right arm and slash it down, sending a disk of light towards you. When you see her begin to raise her arm, put distance between you and her and get ready to jump over the disc.
Similarly, Ellefale will also raise her arm above her head and send a vertical magic attack your way. Luckily, you have plenty of room on either side of the attack to avoid it. In her third attack, she’ll send an orb of wind that swirls around the area. She usually casts this after the magic disc or vertical magic attack when her health reaches the midway point. Keep away from it until it disappears.
Lastly, Ellefale will summon lightning strikes. She’ll raise both her arms and summon give lighting bolts. Run back toward the screen to avoid them.
How to Defeat Ellefale
Make sure you’re a Level 8 or you’ll have a hard time beating Ellefale. Find the Ruby from the secret Red Chest, as this will boost the damage that the Ignis Bracelet does. The bracelet is the only thing that will do damage to Ellefale.
Charge the bracelet between her attacks. Take advantage of when she throws the disc to attack with the fireball that the bracelet grants you. Repeat this to wear down her health.
