This page will be mainly focusing on the various companion character dialogue that occurs during the Gale Character Introduction scene
The dialogue will include everything that is presented as a dialogue option, this also includes dialogue that occurs when you fail and win a die/dice roll too.
The page is currently done with only the Early Access currently being available, thus everything is subject to change. I will however, change this page to properly match the dialogue scene when the full version is released. For now enjoy what is said during the particular Early Access patch.
Anyway let us begin!
(NOTE: This was all taken from the Early Access phase of the game)

GALE DEATH SPIEL SCENE

- (Gale Suddenly Appears Out Of A Nearby Rune)
- GALE: You’re alive. That’s unexpected. Last I saw you, you were laying in a crucible’s worth of blood, an intellect devourer nibbling at your ear. Glad to see my eyes deceived me. I’m Gale. Well met!
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 1A): Well met. You were on the ship as well, I presume?
- GALE (REPLY 1A): The very same. A traumatising experience – if an instructive one.
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 2A): Where did you appear from?
- GALE (REPLY 2A): See that rune? Netherese, I think. Weave’s so thick on it, it’s almost viscous. I had a taste and just like that – swept from one rune to the next. Not to mention.. You’re staring at me like a Rashemi at a blackboard. You’re no wizard, are you?
- (Player Character Chooses To Attack Gale – OPTION 3A)
- GALE (REPLY 3A): Ooh – easy does it, lass. lad. You really, really don’t want to do that. Not a threat, just an observation. Besides, we just survived a stint through Hell on a nautiloid. Statistically speaking we’re anomalies on par with a convivial aboleth.
- (PLAYER CHARACTER SHEATHS WEAPON – OPTION 1B)
- GALE (REPLY 1B): Reason answered by reason! Say – are you perchance a wizard? To be more precise; an archwizard
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 2B): And why would I really, really not want to attack you?
- GALE (REPLY 2B): We’ll get to that. I have a much pressing question first
- (PLAYER CHARACTER ATTEMPTS TO ATTACK GALE – OPTION 3B)
- GALE (REPLY 3B): Dear me. Lets hope I win – bound to be innocents around.
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 1A): Well met. You were on the ship as well, I presume?
- GALE (REPLY 1A): The very same. A traumatising experience – if an instructive one.
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 1C): By trauma I suppose you mean the thing they put in my eye
- GALE (REPLY 1C): Yes. The ocular penetration by an illithid tadpole which will end with our souls being snuffed like strands of Weave caught in Dead Magic.
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 2C): Instructive? What makes you say that?
- GALE (REPLY 2C): Nautiloids are incredibly rare vessels: a mind flayer colony’s most guarded secret – and a gith pack’s greatest prize.
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 3C): I’m not quite in the mood for flippant answers
- GALE (REPLY 3C): Suit yourself – I merely sought to share the wonder of the experience. Not to mention.. You’re staring at me like a Rashemi at a blackboard. You’re no wizard, are you?

- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 1A): No, I’m no wizard.
- GALE (REPLY 1A): Pity. But that will have to wait. The primary need now is a healer. I take it you recall the insertion of the parasite?
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 2A): Why do you ask?
- GALE (REPLY 2A): Because I need one. But it will have to wait. The primary need now is a healer. I take it you recall the insertion of the parasite?
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 3A): I don’t take kindly to insults
- GALE (REPLY 3A): Thin skinned – and a dodger of questions. Usually means the answer’s no. Guess that will have to wait.
- PLAYER CHARACTER (WARLOCK OPTION): I’m better than a wizard; I’m a warlock
- GALE (REPLY WARLOCK OPTION): There’s a gust of Weave about you, but it’s a mere breeze. I need a tempest. But it will have to wait. The primary need now is a healer. I take it you recall the insertion of the parasite?
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 4A): If there is one thing I don’t care for, it’s bloody wizards.
- GALE (REPLY 4A): Ouch. Guess that will have to wait. The primary need now is a healer. I take it you recall the insertion of the parasite?
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 1B): I recall it, yes. Vividly.
- GALE (REPLY 1B): Then you know what happens next. It is to be avoided. I assume you are no accomplished healer either? A powerful cleric maybe?
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 2B): That could have all been an illusion. A bad dream.
- GALE (REPLY 2B): A common Githyanki nightmare no doubt, but I assure you what happened to us was quite real.
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 3B): That’s my business, not yours.
- GALE (REPLY 3B): Gotcha. Private. Nothing to do with me. Aaand yet…. you know what happens next. It is to be avoided. I assume you are no accomplished healer either? A powerful cleric maybe?
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 1C): Can’t say that I am.
- GALE (REPLY 1C): Then we will have to find one – and fast. You and I are in a whole lot of trouble. We need help and I’m not sure where we’ll find it in this wilderness.
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 2C): Why can’t you just use magic?
- GALE (REPLY 2C): Sadly my studies of the arcane are on hold for the foreseeable future. This is beyond me. For now.
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 3C): Look, is this a conversation or an interrogation?
- GALE (REPLY 3C): Just trying to figure out where we stand. Conclusion nowhere. You and I are in a whole lot of trouble. We need help and I’m not sure where we’ll find it in this wilderness. How about we embark on the quest for a healer together?
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 2D): No, thank you. I’m not looking for another travelling companion
- GALE (REPLY 1D): Are you certain? A wizard is a mighty weapon to have in your arsenal
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 2E): I’m certain.
- GALE (REPLY 1E): You’re quite significant loss (Gale Does Not Join The Party)
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 1E): Fair enough. Yes, I’d like you to join me after all.
- GALE (REPLY 1E): Most excellent! Then without further ado, lets be off! (Gale Joins The Party)
- —————————————————————————————–
- IF SHADOWHEART IS IN PARTY
- GALE (REPLY 1E): Most excellent! Then without further ado, lets be off! Besides, looks like you keep some interesting company. A woman with shadows for eyes – deep as the Darklake. A pleasure, madam.
- SHADOWHEART: Is it indeed? We’ll see
- —————————————————————————————–
- IF THE PARTY IS ALREADY FULL
- GALE: And I’m flattered , I’m sure – but it seems you’re travelling with a substantial amount of companions already. Maybe later, yes? (Gale Does Not Join The Party)
- —————————————————————————————–
- RETURNING TO GALE
- GALE: Changed your mind? I’m still happy to join you if you’ll have me. Shall we?
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 1): Decline
- GALE (REPLY 1): You’ve grown none the wiser, I see. (Gale Does Not Join The Party)
- PLAYER CHARACTER (OPTION 2): Accept
- GALE (REPLY 2): Most excellent! Then without further ado, lets be off! Here’s hoping we come across a powerful healer and a powerful wizard both. (Gale Joins The Party)
