The AION 2 Splendent Ruby is an item needed for the [Upgrade] Essence Extraction Specialty quest. You must complete this quest to advance to Professional. Let’s see where you can find the quest item!
How to Find AION 2 Splendent Ruby and Complete the Essence Extraction Specialty Quest
The Essence Extraction Specialty quest becomes available at Novice level 50. Talk to your faction’s Essence Extraction NPC to start it.
Where to Find Splendent Ruby in Altgard and Verteron
To get the Splendent Ruby, you must use the Essence Extraction action on Ruby nodes on the world map. Approach the Ruby and press the Gather key (F) to mine the deposit. It might take a few tries until you get it. The deposits regenerate after a few minutes. If another player mined the deposit, you’ll have to wait a bit until it respawns. The locations where you can find AION 2 Splendent Ruby differ based on your faction. If mobs are giving you a hard time, don’t forget you can use flying to avoid them.
Altgard Ruby Locations
Asmodian players can find Ruby nodes in the vicinity of the Quai Campsite and Calderon Canyon. From Safe Heaven, travel south to reach the location. Run around the canyon and you’ll find plenty of nodes by the mountainside.
Verteron Ruby Locations
Elyos players can find Ruby nodes around the Verteron Fortress Ruins. From the Dawn Legion Base, head southeast to reach the location. The deposits mostly appear on the ledges surrounding the area.
Once you get the Splendent Ruby, return to the quest giver, Alzirr for Asmodian players or Korius for Elyos players, to complete the quest and upgrade to Professional Essence Extractor.
