In Blue Prince one of the puzzles you will come across is the Breaker Box puzzle. Don’t worry, it doesn’t involve maths but you do need to press the fuses in a certain order to be able to unlock the reward.

Tips for Solving the Breaker Box in Blue Prince
First, you want to find some of the hints that are given in the game to help solve the Breaker Puzzle. One can be found in the mailroom.
The clue in the mailroom is a two-part letter. While this is useful because it explains the process of how the clue works, it isn’t exactly a soultion which we will touch on in this artcle.
The second part of the mailroom clue does go further into how the clue works. But again, it’s not the solution.
Here is the office clue. This actually shows the solution. To access the terminal, you need to login to the network with the password. It’s swansong if your wondering.
How to Solve the Breaker Box Puzzle
The first thing you need to do next, is to turn all of them purple to be able to solve the puzzle and get the rewards. Remember the clues above, it gives you information on how to do just that.
To first turn everything purple, follow these steps.
- Click all the buttons to turn them green.
- Then click 1 turning it blue and 2 turning it red. Click one again and it turns purple!
- Click one again, It’ll turn red followed by two. You need to click two twice. The first click turns it blue and the second black or off.
- The 1st button is now purple, second black, and third blue. Press the 2nd button twice. It’ll turn red. Press the third button. Now you have buttons 1 and 2 purple, button 3 black/off, and button 4 blue.
- Going back to 3, click it twice it turns red. Go to 4 and click three times to turn it red. Then go to 5 and click it. Now the first four are purple!
- Click button 5 twice, turning it red. Then click the last button or button 6. Now there are five purple buttons
- For the final button, click it three times. Everything is purple!
This will then allow us to operate a number of rooms, including; Gymnasium, Dark Room and Garage. All of these rooms require the same puzzle solving method. From there just flip the switches to On, depending on what room you are wanting to unlock.
Unlocking The Gemstone Cavern in Blue Prince
Although those prior rooms are great and, now, accessible. We do have one more additional room. Which requires a separate puzzle to be solved using the breaker box. This room is, of course, the Gemstone Cavern.
Let’s move on to the final puzzle which will net us our Gemstones!
- First click the 4th button once to turn it white.
- Go to the 6th button, click it twice, and it’ll turn black or off.
- The 5th turns blue. Go back to the 6th and click it twice, to turn it red. Your not done yet with this part so buckle up. Go back to the 5th and click it once. It goes dark and number 6 turns purple.
- Click 5 twice, turning it red. Then bring your mouse over to number 3. Click it three times to turn it green. The second one will have turned blue during this process.
- Go to the 1st one and click it twice. It goes off or black.
Go behind the breaker and towards the fusebox. Once you flip it you then get the gemstone cavern, giving you two gems daily as a reward for completing this puzzle.
