Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Paint Cages are containers found all over the game world. They hold all sorts of items, such as Tints, Pictos, and weapons. Let’s see where you can find them all!
Where to Find All the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Paint Cages
Paint Cages are locked. To open them, you need to destroy the three locks. These locks are in the vicinity of the cage. To destroy a lock, you have to shoot it with a ranged weapon or ability. The cage will open, revealing the rewards after you break all three locks. You can visit these locations in any order you like. Finding and opening a cage unlocks the Paint Cage trophy. There are 19 to find altogether
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Paint Cages 1-6
We can find our very first Paint Cage when we first arrive at the Flying Waters. From there we can usually find 1 or 2 in various different regions.
Paint Cage 1 – Flying Waters Entrance
Location: Check the area around the entrance behind the destroyed ship.
Loot: Chroma Elixir Shard.
Paint Cage 2 – Flying Waters Coral Cave
Location: From the Coral Cave expedition flag, follow the main path and make a right. Drop down through the hole and go to the back of the area.
Loot: Revive Tint Shard.
Paint Cage 3 – Ancient Sanctuary Giant Bell Alley
Location: Follow the brick road, make a left, and squeeze in through the gap. The cage is atop some rocks.
Loot: Chroma Elixir Shard.
Paint Cage 4 – Stone Wave Cliffs Entrance
Location: Follow the main path and ascend using the rope on the right.
Loot: Delaram (weapon for Gustave or Verso).
Paint Cage 5 – Stone Wave Cliffs The Farm
Location: Follow the path on the left of the Farm.
Loot: Duenum (weapon for Maelle).
Paint Cage 6 – Forgotten Battlefield
Location: From the Forgotten Battlefield expedition flag, go past the Fading Woman and make a right.
Loot: Chroma Elixir Shard.
Cages Locations 7-12

Paint Cage 7 – Old Lumiere
Location: From the Manor Gardens expedition flag, follow the path in the right corner and look to the left.
Loot: Redalim (weapon for Lune).
Paint Cage 8 – Sirene Dancing Classes
Location: From the Dancing Classes expedition flag, follow the path and make two lefts. Descend using the rope and take the stairs down.
Loot: Shield Affinity Pictos.
Paint Cage 9 – Sirene Sewing Atelier
Location: From Tisseur‘s location, follow the left path.
Loot: Revive Tint Shard.
Paint Cage 10 – The Monolith Tainted Meadows
Location: From the Tainted Meadows expedition flag, make a left and descend twice using the ropes.
Loot: Revive Tint Shard.
Paint Cage 11 – The Monolith Tainted Sanctuary
Location: From the Tainted Sanctuary expedition flag, follow the main path and make a left. At the intersection, make a right and keep going until you reach the small gap you can go through.
Loot: Random Defense Pictos.
Paint Cage 12 – The Monolith Tainted Heart
Location: From the Tainted Heart expedition flag, cross the bridge, make a left, and use the grapple points.
Loot: Empowering Parry Pictos.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Paint Cages 13-19
Even the Stone Wave and Frozen Hearts have their share of Paint Cage treasure
Paint Cage 13 – Stone Wave Cliffs Cave
Location: From the first expedition flag, cross the bridge, enter the crawl space to the right, and descend using the rope.
Loot: Chroma Elixir Shard.
Paint Cage 14 – Frozen Hearts
Location: From the Glacial Halls expedition flag, make a right, ascend using the rope, and use the grapple point. Climb the right structure, grapple to reach the train, and descend into the tunnel. Make a left as you exit the tunnel.
Loot: Anti-Freeze Pictos.
Paint Cage 15 – Frozen Hearst Glacial Halls
Location: From the Glacial Halls expedition flag, make a right, ascend using the rope, and use the grapple point. Climb all the structures and make a left.
Loot: Revive Tint Shard.
Paint Cage 16 – Flying Manor
Location: From the balcony, drop down and make a left.
Loot: Energising Stun Pictos.
Paint Cage 17 – Flying Manor, Dualliste
Location: Grapple onto the platform to the right of Dualliste’s location and make a left.
Loot: Powerful Revive Pictos.
Paint Cage 18 – Endless Sanctuary
Location: From the Night Totem expedition flag, climb the walls on the left.
Loot: Grandiose Chrome Catalyst.
Paint Cage 19 – Esoteric Ruins
Location: From the first expedition flag, climb the left wall, ascend using the rope, and follow the right path.
Loot: Chroma x4000.
