How to Farm Candescite in Eternal Strands
Candescite is a 3-star heat-based reforged material used for high-quality crafting and upgrades. If you use it in crafting, you will gain great stat boosts, giving Brynn an edge when fighting powerful enemies. Two game areas offer it in abundance: Glintwood Hollow and Upper Dynevron. Luckily, you can acquire this material early on, as Glintwood Hollow is the first game area.
How to Find the Candescite Farm Hidden Location in Glintwood Hollow
Glintwood Hollow has a secret location that you can farm to fill your bags with this precious resource. Go to the western side of the Feller’s Arch. Somewhere, in the proximity of the local fast travel point, you will notice a cave entrance barred by wooden planks.
Break the planks and enter the cave. Look around and spot the elevator and the torch on the left. The torch is unlit. To make the elevator work, you have to light the torch.
Depending on your game progress, there are several ways to light the torch. Flame Arrows will do the trick. If you have visited the Dredger’s Mire area, you can use them. If not, the Drake’s Breath strand will also work. Supposing you have access to neither, here is what you can do. The game provides you with an option. Go back to the loomgate in Feller’s Arch and look for an explosive flower. Pick up the flower with the Weaver’s Grasp spell. This is one of the two starting strands. Walk inside the cave while carrying the explosive flower. Aim at the torch and throw the flower at it. The torch will catch fire, activating the elevator.
Take the elevator down and you will arrive at the secret Candescite farming location. Use a charged attack to destroy the ore and collect the resource. Don’t forget there is also some Serenite to be found in this location. The ore vein will grow back after a while. In the meantime, you can visit Upper Dynevron to farm the location in that area.
Upper Dynevron Farming Location
Keep in mind that Upper Dynevron is the third game area. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, progress through the main campaign until you get there. This area doesn’t have a specific farming spot. However, it seems that the region south of the main fast travel point has the most ores. You can also establish a farming route alongside the river.
So, start by going to Glintwood Hollow and farm the ore there first. Then, go to Upper Dynevron until the ore in Glintwood Hollow respawns. Alternate between these two locations and you will have enough Candescite.
