The Blood of Dawnwalker A Bulwark Against Darkness is a side quest that allows you to obtain the Arbiter armor set. Completing the quest also unlocks the Arbiter’s Regalia trophy/achievement. Let’s see what you must do to collect the Arbiter set!
How to Start and Complete The Blood of Dawnwalker A Bulwark Against Darkness Side Quest
The A Bulwark Against Darkness automatically triggers after you reach Infamy level 4. A smuggler NPC will approach you and hand you a letter. The quest will then appear in your journal. Open your inventory to read the letter and the list of armor components. To complete the quest, you must find:
- The relic of a saint.
- A bundle of silk threads.
- A flask of quicksilver.
- Moult of a large lizard.
How to Get the Materials to Complete A Bulwark Against Darkness
Most of the items come from side quests.
The Relic of a Saint
There are several relic items you can use. During the Echoes of Silenced Bells, you can find two relics. Loot the corpse in the courtyard to get the Saint’s Tibia relic.
After picking up the Monastery Keys from the caretaker’s shed, you can unlock the door and collect the Relic of St. Tyna. Keep in mind that you need the Relic of St. Tyna for the Most Precious Thing quest, so you might want to hold on to it and use another one for the A Bulwark Against Darkness quest.
During The Cycle of Love quest, you can collect the Relic of St. Dasius. After picking up Xanthe’s Lantern, use it to unlock the room at the top of the stairs and collect the Relic of St. Dasius from the table.
During the Night of Horrors quest, which is part of Lacra’s personal arc, you can loot the Relic of St. Tobias.
A Bundle of Silk Threads
The next item needed for The Blood of Dawnwalker A Bulwark Against Darkness quest is a Bundle of Silk Threads. You can pick it up during the Come Hither quest. This quest is part of a quest line that triggers when picking up the Good Home quest from the marked location.
Complete Good Home and then head north of the Vedera Marsh Guardpost fast travel point to start the Come Hither quest. The Silk Threads item is in the cave you will visit during this quest.
Flask of Quicksilver
The Flask of Quicksilver is at the top of the Silts Tower, but you must complete the Home Sweet Home side quest first. The quest automatically starts when you enter the tower for the first time.
Moult of a Large Lizard
You can get the Moult of a Large Lizard from a cave near the Muddy Trail fast travel point. Enter the cave, clear it, and collect the Large Lizard’s Moult.
How to Get the Arbiter Armor Set and Unlock the Arbiter’s Regalia Trophy
Once you have all the items, go to the uriashi blacksmith close to the Uriashi Hermitage fast travel point.
This is the same blacksmith that crafts the legendary greatsword, the Imbued Sword of St. Mihai, so you might have visited the location before. Hand over the items and defeat the enemies that spawn. Talk to the blacksmith again to end The Blood of Dawnwalker A Bulwark Against Darkness quest and collect the Arbiter armor set:
- Enhanced Boots of the Arbiter.
- Enhanced Bracers of the Arbiter.
- Enhanced Shin Guards of the Arbiter.
- Enhanced Armor of the Arbiter.
The Arbiter is one of the most powerful sets you can find, so you should complete the quest as soon as possible.
