How to Complete The Blood of Dawnwalker Ocha Side Quests

Ocha’s quest chain includes two quests:

• A Mother’s Plea.
• The Heart Wants What It Wants.

Do You Need to Complete A Mother’s Plea to Unlock Ocha’s Side Quest?

No, The Heart Wants What It Wants is available even if you don’t start A Mother’s Plea. However, this optional quest allows you to learn more about Ocha and unlocks an additional reward. You can start A Mother’s Plea quest while working on Lacra’s questline if you didn’t attack the uriashi settlement during the Song of the Mountain quest.

Follow the uriashi matriarch to a nearby area and investigate an obelisk. The elder then asks you to find her daughter Ocha in Svartrau City. So, you can trigger The Heart Wants What It Wants by following this lead, or you can head to Svartrau City and talk to Ocha to start the quest. A Mother’s Plea remains active until the end of Ocha’s questline.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Ocha – The Heart Wants What It Wants

Enter the Altenmarkt tavern to find Ocha sitting at a table.

No matter what dialogue line you choose, the conversation leads to a brawl. When talking to Nora after the fight, you can say “Your mother wants you to return” if you started A Mother’s Plea. Alternatively, you can say “How did you end up here?”. Agree to help Ocha to start The Heart Wants What It Wants quest. The quest has several branching decisions. None of them affect The Outcast trophy. All paths lead to the same final objective: to meet Ocha at the river outside the city. No matter how you choose to enter Andrei’s hideout or deal with him, you unlock the trophy after the final conversation with Ocha.

How to Deal With Andrei

You can enter the hideout at night or complete the optional objectives that will eventually lead you to Andrei. If you want to enter the hideout during the night, head to the quest marker and enter the building through the balcony door and loot Andrei’s Ring.

You can now give the ring to Ocha and follow the plan or go downstairs. If you choose to go downstairs, you will have to kill Andrei. No matter what option you choose, Ocha asks you to meet at the river outside the city.

The optional objective to ask around about Andrei can only be completed during the day. Head towards Andrei’s hideout and use Focus Mode to highlight Katja and the beggar.

The next optional objective requires you to find silver. Inspect the loose brick and collect the silver cross.

Follow the quest marker and speak to the butcher. Tell him that you have silver to sell and he will let you speak with Andrei.

If you stay silent, you’ll have the opportunity to steal Andrei’s ring.

Once you return to Ocha, she tells you that Andrei’s henchmen kidnapped Nora. Return to the hideout and calm down Ocha by telling her you should stick to the plan. Distract the guards by opening the cage and witness what happens next. Ocha will then ask you to meet outside the city.

If you decide to interfere, you will eventually have to kill Andrei. Ocha will show up and won’t be happy about it. She then asks you to meet outside the city.

How to Complete The Blood of Dawnwalker Ocha’s Questline

Head to the quest marker outside the city to meet Ocha. Catch the fish and help decide her next step.

• Do you miss home?
• Meh. Nothing better than homemade food.
• Other villagers just cared about themselves.

Choosing these lines will convince Ocha to stay in the city:

• Do you like the city?
• New things can be exciting, sure.
• Our neighbors helped a bit.

Return to Ocha’s mother and tell her what happened to complete A Mother’s Plea. Ocha’s decision won’t impact the reward you get from her mother.
