The Blood Of Dawnwalker Vicho Questline – Unlocking The Unquenchable Thirst Trophy

The Blood of Dawnwalker Vicho is an NPC with a dedicated questline. Completing the quest chain unlocks The Unquenchable Thirst trophy/achievement. Let’s see what you must do to solve the investigation and obtain the trophy!

How to Start and Complete The Blood of Dawnwalker Vicho Side Quests

Vicho’s questline includes three quests:

• A Study in Crimson.
• The Good Samaritan.
• Unquenchable Thirst.

A Study in Crimson – Investigate Vicho’s Friends’ Murder

The Study in Crimson side quest is triggered when entering Vicho’s house. You may have heard Svartrau City residents talking about a mysterious shop, so you decide to check it out. Enter the house at night through the door on the balcony.

Inspect the room and head downstairs to meet Vicho. He asks you to investigate the murder of his friends, Eli and Devora. Notice that the investigation takes up four time units and takes place only during the night. If you don’t have enough time during the current night, Vicho asks you to return the next night. Follow Vicho to reach his friends’ house. You might be attacked by soldiers on your way there.

Agree to help Vicho find out what happened by saying “I’ll take a look around”. In addition to the dead bodies, there are several optional clues you can inspect. Use Focus Mode to highlight them. Head upstairs to find Devora’s body.

Inspect it and read the note. Feel free to inspect more optional clues and then go downstairs and follow the footprints leading to the basement to find Eli’s body. Inspect his body and collect the key from his hand.

Eli’s chest is hidden under the stairs in the basement. Open it and return to Vicho.

Depending on your Infamy level, you can get rid of the soldiers by talking your way out of the situation or killing them. If you attempt to bribe them, they will attack. The next part of The Blood Of Dawnwalker Vicho quest chain takes you to Doctor Simeon’s house.

The Blood of Dawnwalker A Study in Crimson – Find Doctor Simeon

Follow Vicho to reach the doctor’s house. The door is locked, but you can enter the shed. Inspect the table and collect the key.

Enter the doctor’s house and inspect the document on the wall and the notes on the table. Head upstairs and inspect the clothes on the floor, the journal on the bed, and the property deed on the table. Talk to Vicho and follow him to the warehouse. You might have to deal with more soldiers along the way. The warehouse doors are shut, so you must find another way to enter. Climb the building to reach the balcony and enter through the balcony door.

Investigate the items on the table and head downstairs to inspect the table and the dog corpse in the cage. Take a moment to prepare for combat before going further. As you go down the stairs, a cutscene will play, and the fight against Doctor Simeon begins. You can choose any dialogue lines you want when talking to Vicho after the fight. Go upstairs and unlock the chest using the key looted from the doctor’s body to read the letter that mentions the farm.

The Blood of Dawnwalker Vicho Questline – The Good Samaritan

After completing the Study in Crimson quest, go to the Svartrau medic during the day and agree to help with the delivery to start The Good Samaritan quest.

Follow the quest marker outside the city to reach the farm. Inspect the house on the left and choose to open the door when prompted. After looking around the house, exit and investigate the body in the field.

Read the note to unlock The Unquenchable Thirst trophy. Notice that A Study in Crimson reopens after you get the trophy. Return the medicine to the medic to wrap up The Good Samaritan quest and head to Vicho’s house. Tell him that you need to talk and then pick one of the following options:

• Bandits, I think. – Vicho’s questline ends.
• You don’t remember? – Telling Vicho the truth opens up two more options.

After telling Vicho the truth, you can say:

• If that is your wish – Vicho kills himself.
• Don’t do it, Vicho – You have the chance to stop Vicho from killing himself.

How to Save Vicho

If you want to save Vicho, pick these dialogue lines in the next conversation:

• But you have me now.
• I’ll provide you with blood.
• From blood transports.

A Study in Crimson ends and a new quest, Unquenchable Thirst, begins. The Blood of Dawnwalker Vicho questline is far from over. The Unquenchable Thirst quest will remain active for the rest of your playthrough. Keep an eye on it and when you see the “Deliver blood” objective, return to Vicho and give him a vial of blood. He will request a delivery of blood once every two days. If you don’t bring him a vial of blood, he will eventually die.
