Assassins Creed Shadows has 55 trophies or achievements you can attempt to get while you are playing the game. One of these trophies is called Reeding is Fundamental– and no, that is not a typo!
Our resident Shinobi Naoe takes advantage of reeds in this very fun achievement. So if you want to get this one, you need to play as Naoe. Sorry Yasuke but you have to sit this one out!

The 411 of the Reeding is Fundamental Trophy
Have you ever found yourself in conflict and need a place to hide at last minute? Well, find some shallow water and look for a reed. This will help get you out of conflict in a pinch. First, you need to unlock the skill on Naoe’s skill tree pictured above. It is part of the Shinobi category.
By unlocking Shallow Water Breathing, Naoe will be able to take advantage of the elements as any good Shinobi does. She used a reed to help her breathe while hiding in shallow water from her enemies. Pretty nifty, eh?
How to Complete this Trophy
Once you have the skill find some place to alert enemies. But makes sure there is some shallow water you can lie down in nearby. Alert the enemies, run like hell, hide in the shallow water and pull out the breathing reed by holding the square button or whatever equivalent for the device you are playing on.
The trophy will pop up on your screen once the enemies decide to finally stop hunting you. In winter the water freezes so don’t try this during the winter season or in deep water because it’s not going to work.
