How to Unravel the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Painting Workshop Mystery
To solve the mystery, you must visit all three Painting Workshops. In each location, you need to traverse the picture frames, find the Faceless Boy, and collect three items to summon the Lampmaster boss.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Painting Workshop Mystery – Locations
There are three Painting Workshops all over the game world. You can visit them in any order you like. The entrance resembles a painting.
Light of the Beast
Make your way northeast of the Stone Wave Cliffs to find an island. The entrance to this workshop is the giant picture leaning against the cliff. Navigate the frames and jump down to reach the Faceless Boy. Agree to help and you will receive the Light of the Beast.
Shape of the Beast
This workshop is in the Stone Wave Cliffs area. Check the northwestern side of the map to find the painting marking the entrance. Make your way down using the frames and warp to reach the Faceless Boy. Interact with him and receive the Shape of the Beast.
Colour of the Beast
The location of this workshop is a floating island to the east of Sirene’s Dress and north of Gestral Beach. Follow the frames and keep going down to find the Faceless Boy and acquire the Colour of the Beast.
How to Summon the Lampmaster and Unlock the Noir et Blanc Trophy
You can summon the Lampmaster boss after you have all three items. From the Faceless Boy location, go down and you will encounter a statue. Interact with it, complete the dialogue, and – when you are ready to begin the fight – call the Lampmaster.
The Lampmaster’s massive sword of light attack can be parried. If your team is around level 80, this boss shouldn’t pose much of a challenge.
The rewards for defeating the Lampmaster are:
- At Death’s Door Pictos.
- Energising Attack I Pictos.
- Grandiose Chroma Catalysts x3.
- Recoat x1.
Don’t forget to speak to the Faceless Boy before leaving the workshop to receive a Perfect Chroma Catalyst.
