Ghost of Yotei once again brings back Fox Dens! There are a total of eleven fox den locations in Ghost of Yotei to find and in this article, we break down exactly where to find them. Our reward for completing all of them is the Fox Mask and Guardian of Inari trophy achievement
List of Fox Den Locations in Ghost of Yotei
If you played the first game, the fox dens should be pretty familiar. If not, basically when you find a fox den in Ghost of Yotei, follow it. It will lead you to a shrine and once you pray, you get a reward!
1. Lake View Fox Dens In Ghost Of Yotei
Found in the Yotei Grasslands below Lake Shikotsu. Follow the fox which will lead you to another fox to free, requiring you to follow that one. Reward is Charm of Uncanny Aim.
2. Flowing Water Fox Dens In Ghost Of Yotei
While in the Yotei Grasslands, you’ll find a red tree that is north of Tranquil falls. Reward is Charm of Assassin’s Resolve.
3. Grassy Hill Fox Dens In Ghost Of Yotei
In the Yotei Grasslands, Find the fox right of the Golden Foothills, north of Yotei Grasslands. Help a man from a ditch, and he’ll take you to the shrine. Reward is Charm of Brutal Volley.
4. Fire Fox Dens In Ghost Of Yotei
Found in Ishikari Plain, you need to find a rock to climb and then grapple across to the fox because of the fire. Reward is Charm of Resolute Victory.
5. Twin Path Fox Dens In Ghost Of Yotei
In Ishikari Plain, north of Nakagoya Spring, follow the fox to the gaps in the walls . Reward is Charm of Enduring Resolve.
6. Warm Plains Fox Den
Go to Tokachi Range, specifically north of Ohara Plains and follow the fox. Make sure to pet it after it stops. Reward is Charm of Archer’s Fortune.
7. Whispering Fox Den
While in Tokachi Range, go north of the Shizunai Woods looking for a red tree. Simply follow the fox! Reward is Charm of Swift Reward.
8. Clear Water Fox Den
Found in Nayoro Wilds, go northeast of Kankan Creek. There are deer traps in the area so be sharp and when you get to the end, talk to Ainu. Reward is Charm of Generous Opponents.
9. Winding River Fox Den
In Teshio Ridge simply go to the middle of the path around the Teisho River and follow the fox. Reward is Charm of Opportunity.
10. High Wall Fox Den
While in Teshio Ridge, go south of the Sarafutsu River. Clear enemies outside the den, then follow the fox. Defeat more foes guarding caged foxes, free them, and continue to the shrine . Reward is Charm of Lingering Shadows.
11. Blushing Forest Fox Den
Found in Oshima Coast after the Saito Brothers questline. Head above Matsumae Castle to find the last fox den, then follow it to the courtyard. Reward is Charm of the Prepared.
How to Get the Fox Mask
There is one final step so don’t rest yet! Go to Sarufutsu Lighthouse. You’ll find a locked door but it’s pretty simple. Spin the foxes on the left so they face each other and do the same to those on the right.
Grab the statues, placing them on the pedestal. The door will open and at some point you’ll have to follow a bear which will lead you to a building. Talking to her gets you the fox mask and the trophy.
