Hytale Cooking is a game feature that allows you to prepare food. Dishes restore HP and grant health regeneration and stamina boost buffs.

Hytale Cooking Guide
To prepare Hytale foods, you need:
- Raw ingredients, such as vegetables and meat.
- Fuel, such as charcoal, wooden sticks, logs, or plant fiber.
- A source of heat, a campsite or a chef’s stove.
You can get Hytale Cooking ingredients from farming and killing animals. Fuel is obtained in a variety of ways. Wooden sticks and logs come from trees. Attack patches of grass to get plant fiber. The campsite and chef’s stove are crafted items.
How to Cook Food in Hytale Using a Campsite or a Chef’s Stove
The Campsite is the first method you will use to cook dishes. You can craft it directly from the inventory using:
- Sticks x 4.
- Any Rubble x 2.

Interact with the Campfire, place fuel items in the Fuel slot, and raw ingredients in the Input slot. Press the Turn On button and collect the dish from the Output slot. Foods cooked over a Campfire are basic dishes that don’t provide extra benefits. You can use them to restore HP and lost health, but if you want buff food, you will need a Chef’s Stove.
The Chef’s Stove is a specialized cooking bench. First, you need a workbench. Interact with the workbench and open the Crafting tab. To craft a Chef’s Stove, you need:
- Copper Ingot x 2.
- Any Tree Trunk x 10.
- Any Stone x 5.

Interact with the Chef’s Stove and check out what Hytale Cooking recipes you can create. Press the Craft button to cook the food. In addition to instant HP recovery, these superior dishes provide buffs, such as HP regeneration, stamina boost, or HP and health boost.
How to Prepare All Cooking Recipes in Hytale
Some Hytale Cooking Recipes are available right away. Advanced recipes are obtained in several ways:
- Looted from chests.
- Bought from the Rootling Merchant in the Forgotten Temple.
- Discovered by combining various ingredients.

There is a total of 10 available food recipes that can be used with the right ingredients. Some of which have rather low and limited effects such as Popcorn and Bread. Whilst others can serve as a much greater offering and bonus such as both Pumpkin Pie and Apple Pie
