There are several optional side quests in (MHWI) Monster Hunter Wilds and Forest Doshaguma is one of them. The goal is to capture a Doshaguma which will get you a nice little reward in the end. This is a quest given to you by Erik
How to Start The Forest Doshaguma Quest
The side quest is given to you by Erik a handler in the Astrum Unit. Talk with him in the Forest Base Camp in the Scarlet Base Camp to get this mission. He wants you to capture a Doshaguma in the Scarlet Forrest and in return he will give you a reward!
The reward for completing this quest is 20 Tranq Bombs and 10 Large Dung Pods, both of which will help with monster capture. This isn’t even counting the possible materials you might get after taking down the creature.
How to Capture A Doshaguma In Monster Hunter Wilds MHWI
The Doshaguma is a large, fanged beast, so it won’t be that difficult to spot in the Scarlet Forest. They resemble a bear and are very aggressive so don’t expect this fight to go simply. The Doshaguma is weak towards thunder and fire. So, consider getting a Pitfall Trap, Shock Trap, and Flash Pod. These will go a long way to stunning the creature and helping you with capturing it.
It’s weakest point is its belly but if you can’t aim for that area then consider going after its forelegs or tail hair. One piece of advice is to dodge, dodge, and dodge! With all the dodging, it’s understandable why this fight could take a bit of time.
Keep working at it, doing your best to weaken the Doshaguma with all your attacks. Eventually, you will see success! Then afterwards go talk to Erik to get your rewards!
