Nioh 3 Masters are mini-bosses you can encounter in the open world. Finding and defeating all 13 Masters unlocks the A God Among Men trophy.

Where to Find All 13 Nioh 3 Masters
Each main region has a couple of Master mini-bosses. They are more challenging than normal enemies, but not as difficult as other bosses. Keep in mind that you can return to these locations at any time after finishing the game campaign. If the fights give you a hard time, complete the story first and tackle other content to strengthen your character.
Master Locations 1 – 6
Master Sugitani Zenjubo – Lake Sanaru
Sugitani Zenjubo awaits you on a small island in Lake Sanaru.
Master Taigen Sessai – Lake Hamana
Interact with the Bloody Grave at this location to summon Master Taigen Sessai.
Master Fuma Kotaro – Iinoya
Complete the myth Those Who Live in the Shadows to unlock Master Fuma Kotaro. Once the quest is completed, interact with the Master inside the building and accept his challenge.
Master Ito Ittosai – Futamata
You will find Nioh 3 Master Ito Ittosai inside the building in this location.
Master Tomoe Gozen – Kamo Village
Complete the myth Follow the Soldier’s Shadow to unlock the encounter. Use the Spirit Vein inside the ice to reach Master Tomoe Gozen’s house.
Master Shinran – Awawa no Tsuji
Use the Spirit Vein and follow the stone stairs to discover Master Shinran’s house.
Nioh 3 Masters Locations 7 – 13
Master Nasu no Yoichi – Nishiichi
Use the Spirit Vein and follow the ascending path.
Master Demon Slayer – Hachijo
This is one of the Nioh 3 Masters locked behind a myth. Start The Box’s Guardian and the task will eventually lead you to the location of the Bloody Grave, where you summon and fight the Demon Slayer.
Master Sawamura Yasusuke – Shijo
Sawamura Yasusuke is inside the house at this location.
Master Ishikawa Goemon – Gion
Interact with the Bloody Grave to summon Master Ishikawa Goemon.
Master Takahashi Deishu – Nijo Castle
Go through the gate and enter the house, where you will find Nioh 3 Master Takahashi Deishu.
Master Shishido Kagetoshi – Kyoto Imperial Palace
Turn left and drop down to arrive at the house, inside which you will find the Bloody Grave to summon Master Shishido Kagetoshi.
Master Takashima Shuhan – Kyoto Imperial Palace
You can fight this Master after completing the Beast of the Underworld sub-mission that unlocks the ability to use the cannons. Destroy the barrier to clear the path towards Master Takashima Shuhan’s Bloody Grave.
