Nioh 3 Seeking Rare Yokai is a secret myth. Completing this hidden side quest unlocks the Like-Minded Friends trophy achievement
Let’s see what you must do to find rare Yokai!
How to Unlock and Complete the Nioh 3 Seeking Rare Yokai Myth
The Seeking Rare Yokai myth unlocks after completing the prerequisite myth, Yokai Horde Picture Scroll. Once you are done with the first myth, head to Kiyomizu in the Bakumatsu region.

The Dilapidated Temple is the closest teleport point. From the fast travel point, go forward, and you will soon spot a spirit on the hill in front of you. Take the left path around the hill to reach the spirit’s location.
The map marker doesn’t appear until you approach the quest giver. If you are in the right place and the spirit doesn’t spawn, complete all the other Nioh 3 myths and return to the location. Interact with the spirit to start the Seeking Rare Yokai myth.
Where to Find Rare Yokai
Once you’ve accepted the spirit’s request, you must travel to the Shoboji Temple in the Gion region.

Take the Shrine Walk Greatwood fast travel point. Go through the gate and follow the path to reach the courtyard. Defeat the enemies and talk to the spirit to start the next objective.

Travel to Shichijo in the Bakumatsu region and enter the temple to find Himiko. Talk to her to obtain the Kusanagi painting. Return to the Nioh 3 Seeking Rare Yokai starting location, where you first found the spirit. However, instead of the spirit, you will find a Jakotsu-baba enemy. Defeat the mini-boss and the spirit will appear, allowing you to complete the myth and unlock the Like-Minded Friends trophy.
