If you plan to recruit Isla in Octopath Traveler 0 then you’ll want to know the location of all the Letter Fragments. By getting the letter fragments, you’ll have what you need to travel to the Isle of Sages.
How to Find all the Letter Fragments in Octopath Traveler 0
In total, there are five letter fragments across the game that you need to get. Some (especially the first one) are easier to get than others.
Isla Letter Fragment 1 (Beginning or Golden Palace)
There are two ways to get the first letter fragment. The easiest way is selecting the fragment as one of your three items in the beginning of the game. If you don’t, you can find it in the Golden Palace during the Bestower of Wealth Chapter 3.
Isla Letter Fragment 2 (Theatropolis)
While you are in Theatropolis, head to the west. If you go inside one of the buildings and interact with a bookcase, you’ll find the second letter fragment. You’ll see a blue spot on the shelf.
Letter Fragment 3
When you are visiting the Waterpool Caves in Master of All Chapter three, you’ll be able to get this letter fragment. It will appear as a shiny, blue spot on the ground.
Letter 4
Once you build the museum, the letter fragment can be found on the way to Herminia’s place.
Letter 5
To get this one you need to Entreat it from a Cat of Graceful bearing in Atlasdam. The only way is to have the Speak with Animals Perk. You can get it at the Scared Flame Dias in Wishvale once it is built after presenting an Azure Flamestone.
The Isle of Sages (Recruiting Isla)
After collecting all the letter fragments, you’ll get a secret invitation which triggers a cutscene. Now you have access to the Isle of Sages. Go ahead and travel there. This is the only way to recruit Isla, so if you’re looking to recruit all the characters, you’ll want to get the letter fragments in Octopath Traveler 0.
