Palworld Leather is a crafting material used for saddles, armors, accessories, and furniture. Leather is used in many recipes and you will always find yourself in need of it.
Let’s see what you must do to obtain it!
How to Get Palworld Leather
There are two ways to acquire Leather:
- Defeat certain Pals.
- Buy it from Wandering Merchants.
Leather from Pals
Leather drops from numerous Pals, but a few creatures tend to have better drop rates. Don’t forget that Katress Pal Partner Skill increases dropped items from Neutral Pals. Melpacas and Direhowls are Neutral creatures, so make sure to bring Katress along when farming these Pals.

Take the Grassy Behemoth Hills teleport point to find Foxspark creatures. The location is close to the starting area, so this is a great spot to find Leather in the early game.

Rushoar creatures roam the Autumn Rocks area.

Melpacas can be found around the Marsh Island Church Ruins.

Direhowls usually travel in packs. This allows you to get leather in bulk. A good spot to find Direhowls is the area between the Ravine Entrance and the Bridge of the Twin Knights.

The Islandhopper Coast is a location where you can find several Pals that drop this crafting material. Follow the shoreline and you will run into Melpaca, Rooby, and Foxspark creatures.
Palworld Leather from Merchants
You can buy Leather from Wandering Merchants for 150 coins per piece. Travel to the Small Settlement and interact with the trader to buy as much Leather as you want.

The price is not that high, but you will need a lot of it, so relying on merchants for Leather becomes costly in the long run.
