Cursed Pearl Ancient Relic – Should you get Greed?

One of the ancient’s Neow can give you the Cursed Pearl ancient relic. When picked, the Cursed Pearl will give you 333 gold, but will add the Greed card to your deck.

It can be really tempting to take Cursed Pearl. It gives you 333 gold, which is actually a massive boost to your run. However, note that by picking this, you’ll miss out on the early power-up you could get from other Ancient Relics, and you’ll have to deal with an extra useless card. You can work around this by going to a merchant early on (at least 5 nodes in). A starting gold of 99 + 333 gives you over 400, allowing you to buy relics, cards, and potions. As for the Greed card, you cannot remove it, but you can use Discard or Transform to temporarily get rid of it.
