Jarful of Medicine Ending is one of the four possible Wuchang Fallen Feathers conclusions. This is the bad ending that is achieved by handing in the chisel to Xuanyangzi. Let’s see what you must do to unlock this ending and the related trophy/achievement!
Wuchang Fallen Feathers – How to Unlock Jarful of Medicine Ending and Trophy
To get this ending, you must complete three steps:
- Step 1. Agree to help the Storyteller.
- Step 2. Give the Jade Feather Chisel to Xuanyangzi.
- Step 3. Defeat Feathery Ambition Xuanyangzi.
Among the four game conclusions, this is the worst possible way to end the game. However, you get a Gold trophy for your choice. If you are a completionist looking to unlock all trophies/achievements, getting this ending is a must. Don’t forget that you can use save files at key moments and unlock all endings in one playthrough.
Step 1 – Help the Storyteller
Progress through the game until you meet the Storyteller at Annalum shrine in Worship’s Rise in Ruins. Interact with him and choose the option “Agree to help”. The “Refuse to help” option is available only if you selected certain lines during the interaction with the Red-Clad Lady. If you don’t see it, don’t worry. That option unlocks a different ending, Successor of the Bo.
Step 2 – Give the Jade Feather Chisel to Xuanyangzi to Secure the Jarful of Medicine Ending
From the Reverent Temple shrine in Worship’s Rise in Ruins, go up the stairs into the building and take the stairs up to reach the bridge. Cross it and follow the path to meet Xuanyangzi. Interact with him and choose the option “Hand over the Jade Feather Chisel” when prompted.
Step 3 – Defeat Feathery Ambition Xuanyangzi
Progress through the game until you reach Bo Capital, the fifth game area. Enter the Forbidden Lands and fight the Feathery Ambition Xuanyangzi boss. After defeating the boss, check the gate and enter the stream of Samsara to trigger the final cutscene unlocking the Jarful of Medicine ending.
