A Rare Occurrence is an Assassins Creed Shadows trophy/achievement that requires you to make drawings of all the Legendary creatures. Let’s see what you must do to obtain it!
How to Unlock A Rare Occurrence Trophy
The unlock condition is to collect Sumi-e of all five Legendary animals. Sumi-e are wall decorations for your hideout. Whenever you see a creature, approach it stealthily, and observe it. Your character will notify you when you are in the right spot.
Regular Sumi-e are collectible items with a map marker. However, the Legendary Sumi-e don’t have this marker, so you must find them on your own.
Where to Find the Five Legendary Animals In Assassins Creed Shadows
The five legendary animals are:
- Macaque.
- Silver Fox.
- Grey Heron.
- Deer.
- Tanuki.
Legendary Macaque
The Legendary Macaque is found at the Sarumaru Shrine in the Little Leaf Glade in Yamashiro. It spawns in all seasons, however, it appears only during the night.
Legendary Silver Fox
You will find the Legendary Silver Fox at the Kamimisu Inari Shrine in Nakahechi Route in Kii. This animal appears only during Autumn at night.
Legendary Grey Heron
To find the Legendary Grey Heron, travel to Lake Suigetsu in Wakasa. The creature appears during the day in Winter.
Legendary Deer
The Legendary Deer is in the Yoshino area in Yamato. You will only find it in Spring at night.
Legendary Tanuki
Make your way to the Shigaraki Hamlet in The Shimmering Fields in the Omi region to find the Legendary Tanuki. You will see the creature during the day in Summer.
A Rare Occurrence Trophy Tip
All these five creatures have specific spawn locations and timers. However, it is possible not to find them, even if you are at the right time and in the right season. Should this happen, leave the spawn area and wander around for a bit. Try walking away for about 300 meters and return. This will cause a zone reset and increase the spawning chances. You don’t need any special items to paint the five Legendary animals. Just make sure to get close quietly, so you don’t scare them.
