Assassin's Creed Shadows - The Yokai (Assassination Quest)

In Assassins Creed Shadows there are many side quests, some of which require you to assassinate several groups of people. One of those quests is the Yokai where you will have to fight and potentially assassinate… demons? Including Yuki Onna and Daitengu

Read on to see if there is more than meets the eye to this quest!

Starting The Yokai Quest

To start this quest, go to the Nyoiji Daiji Temple in Yamashiro. You have to talk to the quest giver Mamushi who gives you six targets to find. Once you find them, you need to defeat them. They are all different levels so keep this in mind before searching for them.

Where to find the Yokai In Assassins Creed Shadows

Here is the location of all the Yokai:

Yuki Onna is found in winter. Standing outside the Kawachi Kaza-ana Cave in Northeastern Omi.
Daitengu is found at the Arima Onsen. It’s in northeast Kakogawa Estuary.
Kappa is found only at night in the Haunted Tatarigami Village.
Bakemono is in summer or fall in the northern Yamata Plains. It’s a location called Suika Lands.
Oshiroi Baba is found at night in Nara heartland in Yamato.
Taka Nyudo is found in Kabasaka village in Tamba.

Cleaning Up Our Demon Problem

After you finish defeating the yokai, you can go ahead and return to Mamushi at the Nyoiji temple in the Hills of meaning. However, you’ll find that you need to defeat one more enemy, Ao Andon. As Mamushi has been disposed of.

After you defeat the last enemy you’ll get an engraving (critical chance with backstab), melon cart, and 7000 xp for all your trouble. The end leaves you wondering whether or not Yokai truly are real. Hopefully the reward is worth that!
