In Assassins Creed Shadows there are many side quests you can complete. One of them is Thrown to the Dogs, but what you need to understand about this specific quest is that the only way to get it is to have pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows. If you didn’t pre-order the game, then you won’t be able to complete this quest.
But if you did happen to pre-order the game then read on!
Locating Our Dog Companion
This quest sees you playing as Naoe. It can be found at Tennoji Temple where you’ll meet this stray dog who has obviously seen better days. It’s very reluctant to let you near it, but once you pet him you can see that he belonged to a man named Ichiro.
The stray dog expects you to follow so what do you do, of course? Follow it! You do end up in a fight with a bunch of bandits, from there you can continue following the stray dog.
Upon following it a second time, you have an annoying encounter with Ichiro’s sister Takako who is not a fan of her brother. In fact, she seems pretty happy to see him dead.
Locating The Key In Thrown to the Dogs Quest
A brief confrontation later, you need to find the key to Ichiro’s lock box to claim his inheritance. Observe the environment and follow the blue dot to underneath the building. There is the key!
The stray dog won’t be there when you come out from under the house but you can go ahead and head back to the gravesite to open the box. There you learn the Dog’s name is Tsuki-maru. At the end of this quest you get Ichiro’s letter, 60 minerals for your hideout, and Tsuki-maru as a pet!
