Tea Bowls for Rikyu is an Assassins Creed Shadows side quest that tasks you with completing a collection. This is one of the quest lines that unlock the Collector trophy/achievement. Let’s see what you must do to collect the seven tea bowls!
How to Start Tea Bowls for Rikyu In Assassins Creed Shadows
This side quest becomes available after you complete the main quest Tea Ceremony/Defensive Position in Act I. You can then talk to Tea Master Sen no Rikyu and find out more about his request.
At the start of your conversation, you have the choice to:
- Bow deeply.
- Bow halfway.
- Bow head.
The choice doesn’t impact the quest, but Rikyu seems to be pleased if you choose to bow halfway. He gives you the mission to collect seven (7) tea bowls.
How to Complete Tea Bowls for Rikyu and Unlock the Collector Trophy
Six tea bowls are available from Ornament Vendors for 125 Mon each. The seventh is a reward for completing the main quest Darkness Falls.
Where to Find the First Six Tea Bowls
Intricate Tea Bowl Collection
Location: East of Port of Sakai in Izumi Settsu.
Rustic Tea Bowl Collection
Location: The southern part of Kyoto in Yamashiro.
Sophisticated Tea Bowl
Location: North of the Shingu Shrine in Omi, Azuchi.
Unique Tea Bowl
Location: Outside of Sakamoto in Omi.
Elegant Tea Bowl Collection
Location: Kara Market in Wakasa, Obama.
Simple Tea Bowl Collection
Location: Northwest of the Sennenji Temple in Kameyama, Tamba.
How to Collect the Seventh Tea Bowl (Classic Tea Bowl Collection)
The Classic Tea Bowl is a reward for killing The Wise during the Darkness Falls main quest. This quest is part of the last Act II chapter, Fall of the Shinbakufu.
You will unlock the Collector achievement after you have all seven (7) tea bowls. However, this is not the only way to get the achievement. You may also unlock it by completing another collection. So, you need to be patient and progress into the main story to acquire all the tea bowls. Once you have them all, return to Rikyu and choose the guests for the ceremony. Watch the final cutscene and complete the quest.
