How to Begin Regrets of the Dread Wolf Side Quest

Follow the main story until you get to the Shades of the Blight quest. You will travel to Dock Town, where you meet the Inquisitor and Morrigan. After the dialogue, the Inquisitor gives you a Wolf Statuette. This item is a memento from Solas.

As soon as you receive the statuette, the quest is automatically added to your journal. The task is to find the remaining five statues. Open the journal and track the quest to see their locations.

Regrets of the Dread Wolf Side Quest Walkthrough

Two of them are found in the open world. The other three are obtained after the dream sequences featuring Solas.

Where to Find the Wolf Statuettes

Wolf Statuette 1

Go to Dock Town and take down the Darkspawn Champion. The Gate of Lost Ages will open. Enter this zone of the Converged City and solve the beam puzzle to reach the cliff side area. Look for the Fen’harel Statue and notice the Wolf Statuette on the opposite side.

Wolf Statuette 2

The Converged City hides another Wolf Statuette. You will need to complete some objectives and take down several foes to fully explore this part of the city. Go to the main area where the shops are to find the statuette.

Wolf Statuette 3

To find this statuette, you need to enter the Heights of Athim dream sequence. Take the snowy road and walk to reach the center of the area. Head south and trigger the dream sequence. Complete it to acquire the statuette.

Wolf Statuette 4

This statuette is in the Elv’henan’s Haven dream sequence. Open the map and check the right side to find this location. Head north and walk past the Gate of Parched Hope area. Notice the route on the left. Follow it to enter the dream sequence.

Wolf Statuette 5

Go to the Crossroads from where you will be able to explore Elv’henan’s Haven. Go north and notice the Wolf Statuette on the altar. As you get close, several enemies will spawn. Defeat them and move on. In the next area, you have to solve a statue puzzle to unlock the area to the north, where you will find a Fen’harel Statue and the Wolf Statuette.

What to Do With the Wolf Statuettes

Go to the Lighthouse and place the Wolf Statuettes on the altars in the main area. Each statuette triggers a cutscene featuring Solas. You can wait until you have all six statuettes or use them at the altars one by one as you collect them. Watching the cutscenes grants you A Memory of False Gods trophy.

After you’ve witnessed all six cutscenes, make your way to the Crossroads. Interact with Morrigan, who will unlock an area where you encounter Mythal.

Dialogue with Mythal

Open the dialogue with Mythal. Be extremely wary, as the answers will determine what happens next. There are two possible conclusions.

Convince Mythal – Positive Outcome

Select the dialogue options that please Mytah and you will end the quest peacefully. The reward is a powerful weapon that affects the game’s ending. You will also receive the Clear Minds and Open Hearts trophy and A Pale Reflection amulet.

Anger Mythal – Negative Outcome
Should you choose the “wrong” answers, Mythal will transform into Mythal’s Retribution and attack you. You won’t receive any of the above rewards, but you get to fight a High Dragon.
