After getting our first taste of space and Starfield itself, we now find ourselves in New Atlantis. Home of the Constellation. In The Old Neighborhood main story quest we gather information on another artifact. What exactly are these artifacts? They seem alien at first but perhaps they are more of a map? Either way it has gained a lot of interest. Meanwhile Sarah wants to speak with us again..
TALK TO SARAH IN THE OLD NEIGHBORHOOD
After completing the One Small Step mission quest we are basically free to explore New Atlantis. There are many side quests, otherwise known as activities to find and complete. Such as Distilling Confidence, Alternating Currents and more.
When you are ready to go back to the main story proceed and return back to The Lodge, where we can find and speak with Sarah.
TALK TO SARAH’S CONTACT
In The Old Neighborhood quest Sarah will decide to follow us to our next destination, she has now become a companion. Our second one in fact, if you include Vasco. Feel free to speak with her, we can gather more information about her. Such as the fact that she is a botanist. As well as a key member of the Constellation.
Follow the quest marker and we will meet up with the Commander of the Vanguard, John Tuala, at the MAST building. He will also be the one who will allow you to join up with the UC Vanguard faction.
For the sake of the story though, our next destination is over in Cydonia. We need to find and speak with Moara.
ASK ABOUT MOARA IN CYDONIA
To continue with The Old Neighorhood quest and to begin our search for Moara, we need to take the tram to the Spaceport. Alternatively, we can always just fast travel there too. Option.. options. Anyway proceed to the Frontier ship and let us be off.
We are now back in space once again. Our destination is the planet Cydonia. Which is over at the Mars system. So head into the StarMap and find the necessary solar system.
Getting to the Mars system will require a Grav Jump. Remember to use the Energy, ENG, that you have supplied and deplete it using the down action dialogue button and then switch to Gravity, GRV, and empty the energy reserves into it. Using the up on the button pad. If done correctly we will be teleported to Mars.
From there, once again access the StarMap and travel to the planet Cydonia. We can now gather information on Moara. Make your way inside the Mining Colony facility and make a right into the Broken Spear to find Jack, the bar tender.
Ask Jack about Moara and he will mention that they have gone missing but owes quite a bit on their bar tab. We will now get an opportunity to use our companions to speak for us. Originally he will ask us for 2,500 credits but if we opt for Sarah to say her piece, she will help decrease that for us. Meaning we can pay Jack 1,000 credits instead. Alternatively we can always try to persuade him instead.
We can now continue our adventures through the Old Neighborhood.
GO TO VENUS IN THE OLD NEIGHBORHOOD QUEST
If you manage to persuade Jack then we will not need to pay anything. In fact we will earn ourselves 10 XP. We will also get information on the location of Moara. Apparently they went to the planet Venus. So fast travel back to the Frontier. It is now time for our next destination.
EXAMINE THE SATELLITE
When you arrive Sarah will point out the enemy Va’ruun Zealots. There will also be a UC satellite beacon nearby, perhaps it has information regarding our lost individual. However, it is recommended to do this without causing any unwanted issues. So remain in stealth and way from the red targets.
To perform a ‘stealth’ flight simply do not use the boost option and power down your engines, until you have two white bars remaining. Get to 500m of this beacon before then interacting with it.
When you inspect the beacon we will get an audio log and our next destination. The Old Neighborhood quest takes us to..
GO TO NOVA GALACTIC STARYARD
In order to continue with The Old Neighborhood quest and to be able to reach the Nova Galactic Staryard, we need to first travel to Luna. Here we can dock at the Galactic Staryard. Just fly close to the destination and interact with it to dock. We have now arrived.
FIND ANY CLUES ABOUT MOARA
Once inside feel free to explore. Be warned though as there is enemy targets in here, no surprises there. Ecliptic Mercenaries are here. One of which has a memo on a secret outpost. This will activate the Mantis mission.
Continue on through the area, eliminating any incoming threats. You will want to try and find the Control Room. From there make your way towards the Workroom. Very linear pathing but feel free to explore the additional rooms. Just remember if you find yourself carrying too much mass weight you will not be able to fast travel.
Once you manage to find the Ecliptic ship there will be an audio log inside with our next destination. Neptune.
GO TO NEPTUNE IN THE OLD NEIGHBORHOOD
Fly over to Neptune and we will encounter another ship, this time the ship belongs to Moara. However, it has been invaded and taken over by the Ecliptic Mercenaries. Destroy the vessel’s shields and proceed to board it.
DOCK WITH MOARA’S SHIP
Once on board the ship proceed and eliminate the mercs inside. One of whom will be carrying Moara’s Key, which we will need to unlock the cockpit. Our lost vanguard is inside here. Speak with him and collect the artifact.
RETURN TO THE LODGE
Head back to New Atlantis and, more specifically, to the Lodge. Where we can place our new piece of artifact and become official members of the Constellation.
THE OLD NEIGHBORHOOD
Sarah is coming with me on my first mission. I need to speak to her contact in the UC Vanguard about a possible lead on an Artifact.
We need to find Vanguard Moara, who might be in possession of an Artifact. He was last seen patrolling the Sol System.
